Explanation of Dragons:
Where they come from……
The Dragons are a skin of character released by the creators of “The Dungeon” to reward those who pre-ordered their video game, as all pre-orders come with SOME form of reward, and what’s cooler than a dragon skin? It’s even got horns! The dragons are said to be native to dangerous terrain unknown located near one of the magical starting points. What’s even more interesting is that the dragons are not of the “fire” magical church but of the “Life” church.
Dragons are spawned in with customizable colors from snow white, white gold, sterling silver, sky blue, or forest green. In game the Dragon’s come from the legendary and well hidden “Life Bringer Temple”, where only the strongest of their race, be it of mind or body, congregate to further focus and hone in on their powers. This Life Bringer Temple is rumored to be somewhere at the starting point of the Life Church, but even pre-order gamers have no idea where it can be found initially.
Their ways and culture…..
Dragons are given a culture of respect, nobility, honor, and pride. You cannot lie to a dragon, you cannot bluff your way past a dragon, and you certainly are forewarned should you attempt to trudge over their honor. Dragons are a blend of the natural and the unnatural, as they themselves are. Much like Humans, Dragons are capable of amazingly powerful feats. Much like Elves the Dragons meditate and reflect on this fact; often they meditate on this with a certain arrogance, though without the smugness found on most elven purebloods. Unlike these races, however, Dragons are natural protectors. They recognize the importance of nourishing and replenishing the circle of life much like Buddhists or Hindus. This part of their culture runs so deep that it affects the colors of their scales, often predicting what the born dragon will seek to be surrounded by and protect before the dragon knows it themselves. Another part of their culture is to add the color of their scales to their name when they come of age. Titus was only Titus until he came of age, becoming Titus the White.
The history of dragons…..
Although they are new to gamers in “The Dungeon”, to the history of the game dragons are actually quite old. They would have been essential evolutionary cousins to humans. While humans learned to craft weapons, dragons grew their horns and claws to protect themselves and others. While humans learned to walk on their hind legs, dragons learned the importance of concentration and meditation on their goals. For most of history despite the rough patches of cultural differences, the union of dragons and humans was as seamless as the joining of elves and humans. The main distinguishing factor is that Dragons do not believe in the aspect of being “pure blooded”, as they know that it is often the bastards of plants that make the prettiest flower.
