Background:

A native of Castrovel, Tinker shared the dream of founding an android homeworld. He joined and became a leader among the group known as the 'Refugists,' Tinker was working to create an android homeworld among the many asteroids of the Diaspora. Eventually, however, his own opinions as to just what that homeworld should be, and how it should be governed caused him to lose faith in some of the other leaders of the endeavor. He left the 'Refugists' to their task, although he is still very sympathetic to their eventual goal.
