About Timbul
Raised to believe that his freedom was a powerful gift to be treasured, Timbul's parents fell on hard times and attempted to sell him into indentured servitude (the "socially acceptable" name for slavery in the his home of Taldor.
However, his magical aptitude was his ticket to another life and he ran away to train as a sorcerer, discovering a wellspring of celestial power within himself that his parents never saw fit to help him tap.
Timbul tries not to be bitter about his past, and occasionally even sends a note to his parents to let him know how he's doing. He has never heard back, and doesn't expect to.
He enjoys summoning creatures the most. When he is faced with adversity and can summon a companion to his side, he feels as if he's in control of his destiny.
