Till Ochtar Ulvauno hails from Westcrown, Cheliax. He’s an actor and cousin to the (in)famous Thesing Umbero Ulvauno. He enjoys being on stage, but found early on that he could not compete with his cousin – nor did he want to. Truth is, he didn’t particularly enjoy living in Cheliax, as it had become under Thrune. He even showed promise in the field of magic early on, but purposely downplayed his ability; a way to avoid the trappings of diabolism. Once he got the opportunity to leave the country and play in Absalom, he grabbed it with both hands. His career didn’t quite take off as he had hoped, but that didn’t matter. He performed in two-bit stage shows for the common folk, where he enjoyed his greatest successes as Sir Edmond of Astelbury, a glorious and fearless adventurer of questionably competence.
Till made some friends in the City at the Center of the World. Through some of them, his political interest was sparked. He had never claimed to be anything less than a loyal Chelaxian, knowing that anything else could be dangerous – for him and for his family. Still, he had little love for what the Thrice-Damned House of Thrune had done to his homeland. He wanted to do something, if it wouldn’t put him as risk. After some intermediaries he was introduced to Colson Maldris, and the two of them got along well. Till Ulvauno later hashed out the details with some of Colson’s aides: the actor would occasionally be added to teams of Pathfinders sent on missions, purportedly to gain inspiration for his rol of Sir Edmond. While on missions, he would subtly gain information for Maldris’s network, or even take a direct approach. Any suspicion on his true allegiance could be allayed by Till’s (carefully crafted) boisterous and uncaring image, or – if it became necessary - be ascribed to simply wanting to “act in character”.
