Hi Chaps/Chapesses

Question mostly aimed at the Paizo staff:

Having successfully sold a number of articles and scenarios to professional gaming publishers recently (including some articles published by Pelgrane Press and a 10,000 word scenario that will be published by Cubicle 7 as part of their *World War Cthulhu* range), I thought I'd try submitting something for Paizo ;

From reading the FAQs it appears the Open Call for Pathfinder Quests is still ongoing, and I have written a suitable 2,000 word scenario and was considering starting work on a second....
... but I get the impression from the forum Paizo is a little unsure what they'll be doing with the format at present, and that it might be better to temporarily hold off writing any further submissions.

(Possibly I've got a false impression.)

I've no intention to hold anyone to any estimates or place any pressure on snowed-under staff !

I'm just trying to get a rough feel for where we/Paizo are right now (Feb/March 2014).

so, in summary:
Are submissions still welcome , or would it preferable to receive the same submissions later when the circumstances are clearer ?

---------------------------------
p.s. Note for the FAQ maintainers
The "http://paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/products/quests" link in the OpenCall.pdf appears to be outdated

I suspect it should read
"http://paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/pfsproducts/quests" ?

Ok, so here's the thing. I've been a roleplayer for over thirty years. I've gamed all over the UK, various game systems, universities, conventions, etc.

And only once in thirty years - thirty years ! - have I encountered a gamer who is not caucasian in the UK.

Now, I've no doubt there are many...but still, its a glaring fact that the proportion of gamers seems a bit screwy.

This was particularly brought home to me as I also do salsa dancing as a hobby, which is tremendously ethnically diverse (as well being a very good social scene and great exercise). Ok, so you might argue that salsas diversity is skewed in a different way , but still, it makes RPGs lack of diversity that bit more puzzling to me. i've always found roleplayers to be generally open minded and socially welcoming to people regardless of race, religion , nationality, etc..

So, I wondered - is this everyones experience ? Is there something about the hobby that is putting people off? Lack of ethnic rolemodels in the artwork (thankfully something paizo is not guilty of) ? Roleplaying stereotyped as a white male only club ? Cultural or social bias against a "nerdy" passtime ?

Thoughts? How might we improve the situation ?

I hope this is the suitable forum - if not could a friendly admin move it ? Cheers...

I am currently recording my running of Burnt Offerings on audio (mp3 to be precise); I often give copies to my players of the RPG games I run as souvenirs.

1) Are there people out there in paizo land also interested in hearing these recordings ? If so I'll create a thread in the audio forum with links.

2) Also, I don't want to step on any copyright toes ... as its only audios of "live play" I plan to be posting, I'm guessing there's no significant problems as long as I'm sensible (several other groups have done so)... but if there is, can someone from Paizo let me know ?

I'm a bit surprised that I haven't seen any threads relating to her work.
Any other fans of her here ?

For those who haven't encountered her work she writes both sci-fi and fantasy.

My particular favourites are her Foreigner series - very, very, very good for ideas based around political plots...
...and her Morgaine saga is a great fantasy with sci-fi elements...
..but she has many other series too!
