Tiberu will spend the evening comparing notes on goblin habits and combat techniques with the elf before heading to bed.
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
At breakfast he notices Ameiko has been un characteristically absent. Especially especially considering a Shalelu was in town for the evening.
Tiberu will ask the bar maid where Ameiko has been.

I am ok with a summary. I think we are running out of leads on where to look next in the town. I think the Glass factory is the only place we have left. If she has other leads it would be great to hear them.

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

Excellent! It sounds like we have a plan.

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

To be honest I thought you would have been looking to hire us to get more actively involved but if what you need is a few extra hands to keep things quite while you are gone I am sure we can work something out. Tiberu glances at the others to make sure they don't object before he continues.
Have you heard anything that might help identify the "Longshanks" who has been organizing them? Goblins are almost always their own worst enemy. I don't know the tribes around here well enough to know what could unite them but I am sure we won't like it.

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

Tiberu will follow the Sherif.

While mulling over the previous day's information gathering can Tiberu think of an outsider that may ask for a tribute in the form of the items taken?

Back two months early? It must be something important. Let's get going.
Tiberu stands up from the table grabbing one last but if eggs as he does.
Thank you Amiko. It was delicious.
With that he was ready to go.

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

Let me get that for you. It only seems fair someone else help patch you up after all the patching you have done.
Tiberu heads over to Anton and casts cure light wounds.
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
With Anton healed Tiberu will help dress the animals and get the ready for the porters.

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

Round 2
Tiberu moves forward to help surround the last boar.
Attack+Luck: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 4 + 2 = 171d8 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 6 + 2 = 10
Taking advantage of the distracted animal he thrusts his spear at its side releasing a spurt of blood as the point pulls free.

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

Round 1
Tiberu pulls his spear from the fallen boar and turns to the large boar hoping to wound or fell it before it can bolt.
Attack+Luck: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 4 + 2 = 201d8 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 2 = 16

With a quick slash the tip of Tiberu's spear strikes home finding a space in its rib cage a plunging to the base of the metal point before pulling free.

Tiberu moves quickly into a sprint at the sound of the whistle and charges the boat nearest him trusting to his luck to guide his spear.

Sounds like fun! Tiberu follows Anton's lead and ties his horse before moving into postion. His spear ready he leans forward ready to charge on Alderen's signal.

I suppose you could say I am FROM Sandpoint. Though I left when I was 8 years old and haven't been back until this very week. I left town under the un-witting care of an archeologist who was passing through town in search of an ancient relic thought to be in a ruin just a few weeks from here. By the time we were back anywhere he might have dropped me off with a clean conscience he had decided he didn't want to and took me under his wing. I have been "adventuring" ever since on a myriad of quests, close calls and boring marches to nowhere. It was on one of those dead ends that I really got to know goblins and learned their language. We were looking for the final resting place of King Gongolan. A king history remembered as a wealthy Orc warlord. It turns out he was really hobgoblin "king" of a goblin band that had managed to claim and hold some down right fertile valley by pretending to be . Years of peaceful farming calmed the goblins a bit . . . enough that when we snuck past their sentries they decided to imprison us instead of eat us. It took us months to figure out a way to escape which is how I pick-up the language.

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

It looks like it will be a beautiful day for a hunt! Thank you for making the arrangements.
Tiberu stands and takes up his spear from where is was waning against the wall.
Shall we begin?
As the group heads to the stables Tiberu will chat with Alderen.
How long have you been hunting these woods?

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

Tiberu will fill in the others on everything he learned during the afternoon. After that he wil head to the white deer to pick up his things before returning for the night at the rusty dragon.
The next day, baring objection from the others, Tiberu will liquidate the loot except for the potion of cure light wounds. That will give everyone 72gp 6sp 6cp. We can decide who will buy the potion from the others if we go our separate ways before it gets used. As is sells the gear he will continue to try and track down who might have been the Longshanks who organized the raid or see if he can find anyone who can track.

The would be great! I sure it will take a few days to get matters straightened enough to open the cathedral it would be an honor to stay here.

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

Odd indeed. At this point I am speculating rather than forming a theory. Another odd piece I almost forgot was that the grave maker for the Father's ward was also missing but why someone would steal an orphan's grave stone is beyond me. The targeting of a single grave stone to deface seems unlikely to be random though the target may not have been your father. Maybe it was a general insult to the town given the importance of your famil y's name. Or perhaps it could be a message to you or your brother.
sense motive: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (7) - 2 = 5
diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

There is certainly more going on though I did want tell you the part about you mother's grave first. As you say we are visitors here and couldn't predict how you might react. Let me fill you in on what we know and perhaps you can help us figure out what is going on. As an Ex adventurer yourself you must be curious about the mystery.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
You are correct that you mother's grave was not the only target in the grave yard. Likely it was not even the main target. Father Tobyn's grave was opened and his remains stolen. For some reason whoever did that felt the need to hack at your mother's grave at the same time. During the attack we were able to question a couple of the goblins and they told us the attack was planned by a "Longshanks" who helped them into the city to cover their action in the graveyard. Not a lot to work from to be sure but the targed defacing of your mother's grave indicates it is someone with a grudge against her in particular or you family in general. You say it couldn't be your father, is there someone who might wish to anger him?

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

As Amekio heads over Tiberu will lean to Anton and Gisdrok and whisper.
Keep your eyes open I am not the best at reading responses but I would like to know how she takes my information and questions.
When she arrives Tiberu will stand to greet her.
I would be happy to tell you what I saw out there though I doubt it will be as entertaining as Alderen's tales.
Tiberu offers Amekio a seat across from Anton before taking a seat himself. He continues in a quieter tone pitched to avoid anyone overhearing at the other tables.
I am actually glad you dropped by as I had wanted to speak with you. Has the sheriff or mayor stopped in to see you yet? I don't mean to avoid your question by asking another but you should know your mothers grave stone has been defaced.
Tiberu will pause for a reaction before continuing.
Sense Motive: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (10) - 2 = 8
More than that we questioned two goblins during the attack and both indicated the graveyard was the primary target of the raid for some reason. At this point he will wait for a response from Amekio.
Sense Motive: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (10) - 2 = 8
I hope you guys have better sense motive rolls that mine!

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

We are great full for you generosity. I hope you are correct and the losses were limited to property try and animals. Tonight however is a night to celebrait our survival and morn our losses. Tiberu raises a glass in a voice intended to reach beyond the circle at the fireplace. To Sandpoint!

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

I agree which is why I rolled sense motive. At the moment Tuberu chalks it up to a feckless noble being a bit disconnected from reality and a bit drunk. But when a wealthy lord who just gave you a bag of gold asks to go hunting you go hunting.

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

I am up for giving that a try to see if it helps. So everyone just puts the round number in the top of their posts?

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

Sense Motive: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (5) - 2 = 3 Did I sense he was hiding anything by avoiding my question about the goblins? Clearly I believed every word
I had no idea the area was so well regarded for hunting. I suppose given depth of the wilderness in the area I shouldn't be surprised. Do you think we will find a large one?

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

Thank you for the reward. We are pleased we were able to help. Tiberu picks up the pouch and ties it to his belt.
As for my questions I meant only to ask of the rumors that you would expect to hear in an Inn after an event like this. It is certainly a sad day for the town.
Glancing quickly to his compatriots he returns his attention to Alderen. As for the boar hunt I for one would be happy to join you if we are not called upon to help deal with the source of the goblin problem by then.

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

Tiberu smiles and graciously acknowledges the cheer and the offer for a free drink before heading over to Alderen. Leaning his spear against the mantle he takes a seat next to the lord.
What a terrible shadow thrown over the festival. Have you heard how many were lost in the attack or how so many goblins made it into the town?

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

Tiberu will meet the others at the Rusty Dragon. Maybe Ameiko would have more information. Walking in to the in Tiberu heads to the bar and orders am ale keeping an eye out for the others, Alderan and Ameiko.

A good plan. Someone in the town must know something I will go and see what I can dig up.

Each check for gather information take 1d4 hours. I am not sure how much time I have but here are some checks. I am looking for clues as to who might have wanted to attack the grave yard and town. Specifically for individualls asking strangely leading up to the attack.

Since we are in front of the inn Tiberu will head back to his room to drop off loot. After that he will want to return to the grave yard to finish his search (Take 20) and do a sweep with detect magic.

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

I am Tiberu Silvanus. With no tracker any chase would be pointless. The goblins mentioned the attack was paid for by a "Longshanks" but had no other details.

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

Tiberius will stop him with am urgent hand on his arm. The raid was just a distraction. The main target was the graveyard. The remains of Father Tobyn's remains were taken and Atsuii Kaijitsu's grave stone desecrated. More may have been done but we had no time with all the fighting going on. We could only follow the tracks to the wall. None of us are woodsmen. Do you have anyone to spare I would like to pursue as quickly as possible.
I added the loot of value to my profile. If you think we should take anything else let me know.

Male Male Human Archeologist Bard/1 (HP 9/9 | AC:16 | T:13 | FF:13 | CMB: 4 (Trip 6) | CMD:17 | Fort:+2 | Ref:+4 | Will:+0 | Init:+2 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

I suppose it depends if the raid has run its course yet or not. If it is done then Tiberu would like to return to the graveyard as quickly as possible.
With the interrogation finished Tuberu takes out his dagger and open's the goblin's throat.
Coup de Grace: 2d4 + 8 ⇒ (4, 3) + 8 = 15
A gentler end then it deserves and far nicer than I think it would have received from the townsfolks.
He tosses Anton is rope then cleans his spear and knife.

Know of him more than know him. He is Alderen Foxglove. He is a local noble, not one of the families who settled this area. He is a noble from Magnimar who owns an estate a little way south of here.

Tiberu searches the bodies while Anton and Grisdrok question the Goblin. He will translate if the goblin slips into his native language out of terror.

Updated Map

Yes. Attacks of Opportunity happen before the attack. The goblin may not have taken a charge action, just a move and an attack, even though the description sounded like one. Since you get a -2AC from charging my AC was lowered to 14 so it actually would have hit me if I hadn't tripped him with my AoO. Now that he is prone he does have a -4 AC but even if he had charged before his trip and had an additional -2 I still missed him with my 9. I just hope I can get him as he is standing to take advantage of the -4. As an aside for Grisdrok the prone condition also gives a +4 AC bonus vs ranged attacks including ranged touch attacks.
