I don't blame you. Thanks for the game GG.

Thumpy reads it aloud.

"Forgive me, dark father of the forge, my toils shall never be enough."

Thumpy rubs his shoulder.

"Ow, that's tough door."

Strength check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Thumpy moves to the head of the group.

Thumpy shrugs.

"Sounds like a plan to me," he says plainly.

Hello?

Thumpy attempts to keep the door closed ...

Strength check 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

I think we're lucky enough to have a DM who doesn't bail.

Thumpy takes another whack at a wolf, then continues to retreat.

Attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Move: five-foot-step south

Thumpy attacks, then takes a five-foot-step south

Attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Targeting Wolf #2

Attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
Damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

In the surprise round I'll just move over then.

Despite his great fear of wolves (or because of it) Thumpy rushes in and swings his hammer.

Targeting Wolf #2
Attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

"Eeeek!"

1d20 ⇒ 13

"Um, okay."

Thumpy takes Deelin's suggestion quite literally and slams his shoulder against the door.

Strength 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

Thumpy moves to the side of Haünrar and listens to the door as well.

Perception 1d20 ⇒ 7

Thumpy yawns a great yawn. "Mmm. I haven't had any sleep at all."

Thumpy takes a special interest in the tools.

"Hmm. I wonder what these are used for."

Perception on tools 1d20 ⇒ 2

Oi!

Not wanting to slow the party down, Thumpy puts the book on the floor, intending to retrieve it later.

Thumpy peers over Althesia's shoulder.

"Hey, that's a dwarven book. It's full of prayers to Torag. Can I keep it? I know a dwarf who can find it a good home."

Concern etched on his broad face, Thumpy offers Deelin his water flask.

"Take it easy. We don't want you to be sick as well."

I'll back out of the room instead. The book isn't worth the risk.

*Huuup*

1d2 ⇒ 2

Fort 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

"Hmm. Maybe some of these books can still be read ..."

Appraise on the value of any intact books 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

"Oh you're looking for the cure too? Good! I'll help you and by the time my friends show up we'll have the mushrooms already! And then we'll get the ingredients back to town and everyone will be all well again. My name's Thorin Ironhands, but call me Thumpy."

Willard Barnable wrote:
"Ho! A dwarf. Yer friends dwarfs too?" Willy eyes the newcomer suspiciously.

"Nope. I'm the only dwarf. Let's see, Ser, Lia and Felwyst are elves. Clovis is halfling. I'm not sure what Kidlat is, but electricity comes off his skin when he gets angry."

Thumpy counts off the names of his companions on his fingers.

"I'm with Clovis and Kidlat and Tatsu and Felwyst and Ser and Lia. We're trying to find medicine for the folks back at Falcon's Hollow. A nice woodsman named Milon gave us directions and we found the elderwood but then we got lost. Then I got lost from the others and kept on going west. So have you seen them? I'm really worried for them."

Alone and frightened, Thumpy Ironhands approaches the abandoned monastery. His mood immediately brightens when he hears the sound of voices and footsteps from within the ruin walls. He rushes past the gate with a big grin saying, "oh! oh! Here I am! Why did you guys leave me alone back there?"

It takes the dwarf a moment to realize these people are strangers.

"Uh ... have you seen my friends? I think they came here looking for ironbloom mushrooms."

Gotcha, thanks!

Thanks, I look forward to it!

Hi, if it's not too late, here's my character sheet, now PFRPG-ized.

Thank you!

Sorries to DM Gryphon for not finishing up Thumpy yet.

I'll get right to it.

Thumpy, dwarf stove-pot merchant, at your service!

I'd like to play my dwarf-fighter character Thumpy. He's a travelling pots and pans merchant who arrived in Falcon's Hollow during the outbreak. He's a sensitve, kind-hearted dwarf who wants nothing more than to cure the town of blackscour taint.

I played Thumpy in Lazaro's 4E adaptation of this game. We tackled the dwarven monastery first, then got to the witch's cabin. The game ended there. I really got into the game and would love to continue this adventure.

Oh, gotcha.

*poke*

"Hah ... hah ... Hachoo!" sneezes the dwarf. Stays at the threshold, unwilling to enter first.

Oops. Thanks.

"Um, okay."

The dwarf gives the door a shove.

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

"A joke? You mean undead people can laugh?" quavers Thumpy.

Thumpy has now been upgraded from level 2 to level 4.

Yup, I'm going in.

With a reluctant nod, Thorin assents to Tatsu's orders.

"We're here for a rat's tail, I think."

Hearing Felwyst's description of the forlorn place, Thumpy shivers.

"I .. I don't think we should go in there. It must be haunted!"

Merry Birthday, er I mean, Happy X-Mas !
