Background:
The rumor about the drunk’s past are varied, but many of them say that he used to be a young, handsome, and promising soldier with even a small measure of divine power. He was finally promoted to lead a company, and as happens so often, leadership revealed his true character. Thomas was overly proud of his status and overly eager for battle. His thirst for glory led him to order an assault on a fortified enemy position ahead of his commander’s orders. The result was disastrous, and his men were slaughtered around him. Thomas watched them die from blades and fire with the loss of their faith in him as the last thing in their eyes. Thomas was broken after that, losing his command and finally his commission as he turned increasingly to drink.

Appearance:
You hear a thud behind you and see that Thomas has fallen over...again. The man is a lousy drunk. He struggles to his feet again, clutching his flask and taking another sip. He burps loudly before speaking with a slur to his words, and a wave of alcohol breath assaults your senses. Thomas clearly hasn't shaved in over a week, and his clothes are ragged and stained from far too many spilled drinks. He has no armor or weapons. He probably sold them for drinks a while ago.
