What exactly are we looking for here anyway? That staff certainly seems out of place. I am going to inspect the armor, I recall tales of such things being used as guardians in times past.

This appears to be an ancient divine protection, if you can believe that. I believe we will be fine so long as we do not attempt to take any of this weighty junk. If it applies to whatever it is we are here to look for, well we can deal with that as we approach it. Surely our wills are greater that a pack of goblins.

I knew I shouldn't have asked about the baron's library. I wonder what he suspects. Well, at least I can find out more about this man who says he is a member of the Knights of Solamnia. Perhaps he knows more than old stories.

Theran is trying to remain quiet as he marches on, but the slap of his armor always seems louder than the rest of the group. It doesn't help that he has this subconscious habit of tapping his fingers to his thumb in sequence on his off-hand. It can be rather irritating when wearing reinforced gauntlets.

Has anyone heard anything about this ruin? I wonder how the Baron heard of it?

If you would like more variety, I can redo as a bard going for skald, with a fighter feat. More magic and skills, somewhat less melee, which we have covered amply. It would definitely improve our support\healing quotient.
