Guys, things are still crazy at work. This is the first time I have had internet access from work since last Wed. With the stuff going on here I am crashing and burning once I get home. Tom, if you haven't done so already, please feel free to NPC Darthen. I am trying to get things taken care of this week so I can get back to a normal schedule by Monday. Sorry for the absence.

I agree with you on that. I also know in any genre you can only have so many different types before overlap occurs. I am not sure if I thought it was coincidental, or the conspiracy part of my brain overreacted. Especially after reading about WoTC profiling the same god that Paizo put so much effort into.
This pic of Graywall in Dragon 368. There are some minor differences, but the overall effect is strikingly similar to the one of Korvosa. A large keep type structure in the middle surrounded by dilapidated buildings and flying creatures. The only thing missing from the WoTC image is the lightning. I do not have that PF image available, but I do have a wallpaper that shows the different PF characters on the background I described. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right? I understand many do not subscribe to the DDi pages so I posted the picture. If that is wrong please delete and forgive me. I also hope this wasn't posted a bazillion times, but just so happened to NOT be on the first page when I looked. This image is kind of hard to see with the heroes in the middle. I hope this can at least help show what I am talking about.
I speak for myself when I say that I can't wait for Inigio to feel the burn. Because if he is feeling the burn the rest of us should be turning tail and running. :D Oh and you had me on that pcdeath.com site. I actually went there thinking it was a IC type of site which gave DMs a better than average roll. Apparently I am also looking for some beach front property in Idaho.
I am back from vacation. We had a blast at Disney World. I believe we took over 1200 pictures over the 7 days we were there. Sometime this week I will get most of those posted on Facebook. The best parts of the whole week were: 1. Cirque Du Soleil: La Nouba
Please give me a few days to get back into my daily routine. I had over 160 personal email and over 2000 work related messages to go through. Not to mention the 1000+ messages in my RSS feeds. Whew!

Grr, board monster stole my post. Posting this week will be kind of sketchy for me as I am going on vacation for a week starting Saturday. I will attempt to post at night from the hotel, but that all depends on the type of internet access they have. I am kicking myself for not checking on that earlier now that I think about it. Please feel free to DMPC Darthen if needed. Darthen has a soft spot for kids, but not if his life is on the line. He will slip his blade into one if the need is there. He might also do so for his compatriots, but as far as he knows this is just a one time group deal going on. If there is in particular you need from me send me an email. It is listed in Darthen's profile.

Please feel free to DMPC Fudrick if needed. This type port is a good place for Shulim and Fazaam to shine so I was planning on holding back a little because Fudrick is a little overwhelmed at all of this. When he was on the family ship his parents stuck to the better ports because of their morals. Not to mention having kids and women on the ship. If there is in particular you need from me send me an email. It is listed in Fudrick's profile.
I agree with the others above. It sounds like you need to be honest with her. Take her out and do something spontaneous. You have a better than fair chance at becoming more than friends. Hmm, my advice sounds like I got it from a fortune cookie. Either way there is no reason to complain about something that you have full control over. Like Nike said, "Just do it".
CrimsonDM wrote: BTW the Twain quote was good, but I really liked your description of Giggles. I try, but face to face I am to slow to come up with those descriptive phrases. That is one reason I like PbP. :) I don't know what Heather has but we need her to bring the pain. My dice normally don't roll that good so let's finish this off quickly.

Of course it is a great phrase. The great Mark Twain coined it. :)
I would think the percentage of children would be higher. In the fantasy setting this would be placed in, a majority of the work force would be family labor. Even today farmers tend to have at least one child to help work the fields, etc. Depending on the crop they may not even need many migrant workers for help. One example I can think of is a local tobacco farmer that hires only one or two workers each season. The rest of the labor comes from his two sons, daughter, wife, and million dollar tobacco sorting equipment. Thanks for posting up your random information to get some discussion going. I enjoy reading them when I get the chance.
Guy Humual wrote: oops, Shulim was thinking to himself, hence the lack of quotes. Although he's probably expressed this concern at some point during their hike through the woods and certainly after meeting with the farmer. Oops indeed. Maybe the robe and kukri give me weird mental powers Mr. Wolf hasn't told us about yet. Wishful thinking maybe?

I had to google Cyclorama. I am guessing it is this?
Is there something here that makes at least 3 of us Qadirians? Oh I wouldn't be mean enough to NOT let Fazaam try to loot those items. I was hedging my bets that Mr. Wolf will let it play out. If the item was there to help us (or maybe curse us?) then he would make sure to leave a way to retrieve it. At least that was my hopes when Fudrick tossed the items back in :) So far my hunch has paid off. Of course now that I have voiced my plan the almighty Wolf may decide otherwise. Hopefully after you make your attempt you will still have your body parts. ;) Again Mr. Wolf, I would like to thank you for letting us tell the story of your campaign setting.
Stupid board monster.... Why does he only strike when I don't copy the text? Oh well here goes again. A little shorter though. Work has been extra busy with the boss going on vacation. He has been going over all kinds of stuff that needs to be done. Anyway, I will get that post up tomorrow. Maybe tonight depending on how tired I am. Sorry about that.
Sorry to hear Utak. I am in a similar boat as you. The company I work for seems to barely get by paying us let alone their bills. I have been looking for a few months now and only get rejected. With the economy the way it is finding a new job seems to be a lot harder. Hopefully both of us will be able to be financially stable again before to long.
Take them to a park and let them run wild. Pack lunch, snacks, lots of water, and a lite dinner. Make sure to take a DS, PSP, PHB, DMG, any Paizo material, or other forms of entertainment for when they meet friends and forget all about you. At the end of the day head home, talk with them in the car about their day, they will get all excited and talk probably non-stop to tell you about every little detail, sit back as you drive and enjoy their youth and innocence. If you do this for three days, switch it up a little by taking them out to dinner (pizza or whatever they like best) one night, then ice cream the next, and they will love you even more than they already do.
Hmm, good question. I have doctors appt. next Monday which will tell me if I need back surgery again. If so I will probably be out of it for a few weeks until I can sit up in bed to use the computer. There will be plenty of warning for you guys on that. In early Sept. I believe we are still planning on going to Disney World for a week or two. Of course that depends on what the doctor says.
I will try and get a game post up tomorrow or Monday at the latest. In the meantime I was thinking that Fudrick may just be able to open the door or activate it in some way. He is a follower of Hettama and had a shooting star cross the sky as he was born. Those two things may allow him to unlock the door. What do you all think.
The Historian. I am about a third of the way through so far. In the beginning (first 10 pages or so) I didn't think I would enjoy the book as much as I thought. By the time I was 50 pages into it I could barely put it down. I can't remember the last time I read a book that was creepy in a really subtle way.
