Unfortunately, raising the dead isn't an option, as he was only level 3 so his fame/prestige wasn't high enough, and it was a TPK so there was no bringing his body back. I can consider the family member idea, I'd just have to think of an interesting backstory for him if that's what I go with.

Grand Lodge

Damn. Well thank you very much. Your answer has proved to be invaluable.

Grand Lodge

There can't be two people by the same name in that world? Or is it just under my account?

Grand Lodge

I understand I have to start at level one, follow all the rules regarding gear, money, experience, items, fame, etc.... But I really liked the character that died. I know there is no getting him back, However, is it possible to make this characters new backstory that the soul of my previous character was reborn into this new body? Or maybe some druid somewhere brought the soul back, and put it into a homunculus? I'm not doing this for any experience or trying to cheat death, I don't even want him to keep the memories if that isn't possible, I'm thinking purely because I liked the name and the physical appearance of the character, as well as the personality. I just wanted to know, is it legal?

Anyway, I know that is a pretty big question, and I appreciate the answers I get ahead of time. I just feel I put a lot of myself into this character, and it would really suck to lose him.

I really love my miniature, but I am aware that pewter is not very strong. After painting it, is there anything I can put on it that can not only help prevent chipping but possibly add a little resistance to bending? I handle with care but sometimes the table gets bumped or one of the other players accidentally knocks over my miniature. Any advice to help the increase the lifespan and improve overall durability is very much appreciated.

Oh gotcha. Thanks again everyone.

Owning a shield and getting that AC bonus would prevent me from using my longbow though, right?

Grand Lodge

I see, I wasn't aware that weilding a weapon with both hands gave a 1.5 damage increase. So I may decide to not use the shield, extra AC is appreciated, but the tiny amount given doesn't seem worth it. Thank you both for your fast replies, they are very much appreciated.

I apologize ahead of time if these questions seem ridiculous, I'm still pretty new to Pathfinder, but I love it and want to make sure I'm as useful as possible to my fellow team members.

I can't seem to see any downside to using a shield, is there one? I know that obvious answer of "you won't be able to equip a weapon in the hand holding a shield" or "it adds to your overall weight" but other than that, is there any reason I shouldn't use one?

Also, the group I'm in is only able to meet up once a month and I believe I am seeing that it's also possible to play online? Can anyone explain that to me? Thanks in advance for your answers.
