Derrik descends like the hammer of doom upon the Dunwich Horror! It is slain in the surprise round as his armored body hurtles from the sky, giving his blow the impact of a comet as he lands on the side of the ziggurat adjacent to the monstrous spawn of Yog-Sothoth.... The albino face is riven into bloody halves, and the Dunwich Horror collapses, slain with a single blow!
Wormwood knows that fire and cold will be of little use against the spawn of Yog-Sothoth.... And that they will be invisible to mortal sight.... But by their foulness shall they be known, for they exude a peculiar unearthly stench....
It's thirst abated by the night-long bloodbath in Baghdad, the Dunwich Horror lumbers back the way it came.... It would return to the gate, and welcome it's father....
As the sun sinks below the western dunes, and stars begin to glitter in the darkening sky over Baghdad, the ragged bands of survivors still trying to eke out an existence in the ruins of the capital city of Iraq barricade themselves within shells of buildings, vainly hoping to keep the horrors that stalk the night at bay.... The four spawn of Yog-Sothoth, foremost of them the Dunwich Horror, thump ponderously into the dark streets of the ruined city, uttering inhuman cries that chill the blood of the terrified survivors who hear them.... Bellowing monstrously, the Dunwich Horror leads the other spawn in an unholy spree of wanton destruction and slaughter within the ruins of Baghdad....
The Dunwich Horror lumbers ponderously....ravenously....toward the ruins of Baghdad.... Must eat.... So hungry.... So thirsty....
A monstrosity, normally invisible to mortal eyes, oozes out of the dilating circular portal above the ziggurat, landing with a splashing and lapping sound altogether unexpected in this arid ruins upon the top tier of the ziggurat.... Ravening, it feasts on the body of the brained Iraqi woman lying atop the altar.... Then howls for more sustenance.... |
