Tharivello grew up alongside his deathless ancestors within the island nation of Aerenal. As he grew, he was raised to revere the Undying court, as was custom, although he found their divine influence in a bit of a different way. While he had no intuitive grasp on the spells which they gave to some of the other priests, he found out that he was able to learn them, instead, as their wizards might learn spells of the arcane.
Up until now, he'd lived his life among others of his kind, the emissaries from the dragonmarked houses a mere curiosity. He was simply content to continue his studies and prepare to defend his homeland in a time of need.
That all changed shortly after the Mourning, when he was summoned before the Undying Court and told that he had a greater purpose, and that it involved the recent cataclysm that had enveloped Cyre. The court then ordered him to travel to Khorvaire to seek out this purpose. Curious enough to question this request but too respectful to refuse it, Tharivello gathered his belongings and boarded a Lyrander ship bound for the human kingdoms. He has been here now for nearly a month, yet he has still not figured out the purpose of his travels, although he's found that his Divine learning extends to spells other than those that are normally granted to the priests of his clergy.
