Tessa is a slightly built woman who stands about five feet and two inches tall. She has pale blonde hair that almost looks platinum that falls to about the middle of her back when worn long. She often keeps it up in various styles depending on how much time she has, her mood, and what she'll be doing that day. Her large and expressive gray eyes glow blue, white, or red depending on her mood and how much control she currently has. Her pale skin is covered in hundreds of thin, white scars across her shoulders, upper arms, back, sides, and her upper thighs.

Perhaps even more notable than the scars is the blue, faintly glowing symbol above her heart that shows whenever she summoons Aoede. The complex pattern of runes looks like a thrush being reborn in fire like a phoenix.

She likes loose clothing that keeps her covered from the neck down, though she does go for cuts that are more elegant than shapeless. She loves the color blue and will go out of her way to buy an outfit or piece of jewelry that features it. Beyond that, she likes wearing comfortable, pretty things, even if she intends for no one to ever see them but her.

Aoede's original body was destroyed from the backlash of Tessa's powers awakening. Now connected to Tessa though their minds, Aoede's body is identical to her master's, down to the scars from when Tessa's family flogged her during the sacrifice and summoning ritual that brought Alekto in from the Hells, the length of her hair, and the glowing symbol over her heart. She is far less concerned with her looks or the looks of what she wears, but for Tessa's sake at least tries to look presentable. She does wear a pair of socks that Tessa gave her as a joke that have bright pink bows near the top.

Whenever Alekto gains full control of Tessa's body, Tessa's hair turns soot-black and her eyes turn blood-red. She also grows a set of fangs. The symbol over Tessa's heart turns blood-red or black depending on badly the connection between Aoede and Tessa is affected.

- Due to her obvious celestial heritage, she was kept locked away for most of her life.

- She spent most of her time in her room reading.

- Her family tried to sacrifice her, using her as bait for an erinyes they wished to subjugate and use as a family guardian.

- During the ritual, she and an azata were bound and laid on the altar. Her panic unlocked a power she wasn't aware she had as the celestial was bleeding out. The magical energy released knocked out all of the house's members, guards, and servants, allowing herto escape.

- The azata was bound to Tessa as an eidolon.

- The erinyes was also bound to Tessa, but in her mind. The erinyes sometimes partially possesses Tessa, but is more of a voice in the back of her mind most of the time.

1. What is your character's name?
Tessa Sarini, but she only goes by Tessa or Tess these days.

2. How old is your character?
Tessa is 28 years old, but looks about 16 to 18 thanks to her celestial heritage.

3. What would somebody see at first glance (i.e. height, weight, skin color, eye color, hair color, physique, race, and visible equipment)?
Tessa is a woman of slightly less than average height, standing at five feet two inches. She wears loose clothing and keeps her hair cut short. She's a slightly built woman with blonde hair, gray eyes, and fair skin. Despite her celestial heritage, she appears human most of the time.

4. What additional attributes would be noticed upon meeting the character (i.e. Speech, mannerisms)?
While Tessa can be a charming woman when she warms to someone, she is more prone to staying back and letting others do the talking. She is always nervous around hellknights and any fiends. She talks, sings, and hums to herself a lot, sometimes sounding as if she's actually two people in the same body holding a conversation.

5. Where was your character born? Where were you raised? By who?
Tessa was born on the Sarini estate in Kintargo. She lived on the estate and was raised by a series of nannies and governesses until she was of age, then largely left to her own devices in the small suite her family kept her in. The first time she left the estate was two years ago when she ran after a failed ritual where she was to be the sacrifice and prison for an erinyes the family wished to use.

6. Who are your parents? Are they alive? What do they do for a living?
Mareillius Oratius Sarini and Diabella Magia Sarini nee Thrune are her parents. They are both still alive. Mareillius is a close cousin to the current head of the Sarini family, and serves as both advisor and representative of the family's interests. Diabella is a distant cousin of Empress Abrogail II, and married Mareillius as part of a political arrangement. Her interests in diablism and the art of binding otherworldly beaings to one's will has made her an invaluable part of the Sarini's research and experiments.

7. Do you have any other family or friends?
She has several cousins, aunts, uncles, and siblings that she's never met. The closest thing she had to a friend before her life was shattered and she ran from the only home she knew were the servants that tended to her, but even then, she was starved of anything like meaningful connections with others. Since then, she's come to rely in Llewela, though she wants to be friends with the young woman, she doesn't know how.

8. What is your character's marital status? Kids?
Single, no kids.

9. What is your character's alignment?
Neutral Good

10. What is your character's moral code?
It's a bit amorphous. She spent 26 years living essentially by herself and is only now learning more about the world outside of the books she read when she lived in House Sarini.

11. Does your character have goals?
Mostly to avoid being found by her family.

12. Is your character religious?
Somewhat. Since leaving House Sarini, she's been attracted to Shelyn, largely thanks to her eidolon's influence.

13. What are your character's personal beliefs?
She's still learning how to think for herself.

14. Does your character have any personality quirks (i.e. anti-social, arrogant, optimistic, paranoid)?
She comes off as flighty and easily distracted thanks to the erinyes she shares her mind with. Those that talk to her find that she is very naive and ignorant.

15. Why does your character adventure? Why would you join the rebellion?
Mostly because she doesn't want to be alone and sticks to Llewela's side. As time goes on, I think she'd develop her own reasons, but she's kind of a blank canvas at the start.

16. How does your character view his/her role as an adventurer?
She'll come to see herself as someone who supports and protects her friends, but at first, she's likely to just be confused by it all.

17. Does your character have any distinguishing marks (birth-marks, scars, deformities)?
Her back, sides, and the upper parts of her arms and legs are riddled with scars from the ritual where she was to be sacrificed before her powers awakened. Other than that. Her grey eyes glow blue, white, or red depending on her emotions and if the erinyes possessing her is in control.

18. How does your character get along with others?
Quietly.

In all seriousness, she wants to be helpful and useful, so she tries to get along well with everyone, but her tendency to be a shrinking violet does make it difficult for her sometimes.

19. Is there anything that your character hates?
Bloodshed and violence in general. It's going to be a large part of what drives her into actively opposing Thrune instead of following Llewela's lead.

20. Is there anything that your character fears?
Fiends of most kinds, but especially devils.
Whips. She was beaten nearly half to death with one.
Hellknights.

Alekto is the erinyes that the Sarinis tried to bind using Tessa as both the sacrifice and the vessel. THe backlash from Tessa's awakening shattered her being and now only the part that exists in Tessa's mind is the only part of Alekto that has any consciousness or identity left. Thanks in part to being weakened and in part to Aoede's influence, Alekto has had little luck in molding Tessa into a tool for her vengeance against the Sarinis.

She's a vindictive, petty sort that calls those she sees beneath her things like her lovely or her pet. She loves to torment Tessa any chance she gets, and between those times she has control, she has plenty of time to think of ways to make things worse for aasimar.

Tessa was not the only sacrifice used to lure Alekto to Golarion. The Sarinis had also captured a yamah, an azata that can steal magic, that had tried to vex them named Aoede. She was dying, having been stabbed in the heart moments before, when the Sarinis tried to continue the ritual by killing Tessa. The magical backlash as her powers awoke incapacitated most of the estates inhabitants and allowed Tessa to escape, but it also bound Aoede to Tessa. Her old body had been destroyed by the event, but she had been given a new one, one that looked exactly like Tessa's. Since then, she's guided Tessa as best she can, though she is almost as lost as Tessa in the world they now live in.
