Do I have to use rogue as the base class for Swordmaster or could it be from Ninja as well since it's a rogue subclass?

So I'm making a NPC Ranger for the game I'm running. The character is lvl 13, 10 in Ranger, 3 in Hunter.

She's an Archery ranger. Could use some help in getting her suited up. She's a high profile character which is why I wanna maximize her damage and her speed.
