Like many in the world the Nu age is not everything one believes it to be. Then again we alway think the future is going to be better. Yet for many the pain of hunger and need to do drastic things drives them forward.
This was Tatyana’s life. Growing up very poor, Tatyana and her family were not strangers to struggling and empty plates. In fact it wasn’t until she started working at fourteen that she had even felt a truly full stomach. And work never seemed to be lacking, as Tatyana was a gifted code writer. It seemed like she could reproduce any program she saw in a matter of hours, or relay any information in perfect detail. By the time she turned eighteen she had saved up enough money to get herself a proper operating system and commlink to start Shadowrunning. Alongside a group known as the Wonder Runners, Tatyana began to go by The White Queen, to fit along with the others in the team and the signature she was known as in the Matrix. Yet that group only lasted a few months before a run went wrong and the remaining runners went their separate ways… mostly. Tatyana still keeps in close contact with Hatter, real name Mark, who went legit after and has made a very good name for himself as his medical knowledge was always a tier above the rest. A skill he actually bestowed upon Tatyana during their few months together. The pair mostly exchange holiday cards and some small messages but never more than three or four times a year.
After the Wonder Runners failed, Tatyana went in it solo for a couple years after that. Keeping to missions that didn’t need her to leave her home and could be done almost completely in the matrix. Yet that could only last so long. Time to time a mission would call for a physical appearance and she’d need more than just herself to get it done. With Hatter out of the game, Tatyana searched for others who would have been of use. It was during these years that she would slowly find the others of her new group. Before she knew it, she was back Shadowrunning properly again… for good or bad.
