About Tanna Elenvathar

Background:
"A child's birth was foretold 200 years ago by the clergy of Yuelral. A child who would have untold knowledge of the divine. One who would have the insight to see things that most could not. One who would herald a new era for the church. One that would be known far and wide for their understanding of Yuelral's will. They expected a boy who would become a cleric. What they got was Tanna."

Tanna Elenvathar grew up in the city of Aravel. Her parents are members of the clergy of the church of Yuelral, one of the Elven deities. She spent her youth learning about Yuelral, magic, and the church. While Tanna never really felt a connection to Yuelral, she did have an insatiable desire to learn. To learn about the history of her people, of the the city she lived in, and of lands both near and far.

In her youth, she spent a lot of time indoors due to her weak constitution. Because of this, she had her parents bring storytellers, bards, and the like to her so she could listen to their tales, songs, and poems. Because she was weaker than the other children, she was bullied frequently. She tried to deflect their taunts and jabs as best she could, though she was not always successful. The experiences were valuable, though, because out of them she developed patience and a steely inner strength.

As time passed, she became very beautiful in addition to being exceptionally knowledgeable. This brought vanity, as she was doted on day and night. She was the oracle. She was given access to any material she desired (not that she really studied with a gift such as hers), from those pertaining to her race, to literature pertaining to the religious.

While she showed no affinity (as yet) to the arcane, she had an incredible understanding of it. She showed such great insight that even some notable wizards and sages came to her for advice. In her dealings with them, she realized that she wanted to travel to satisfy her thirst for knowledge and learning. Experiences were her goal, as she wanted to see more beyond the city in which she lived. There was only so much to learn here.

And so it was that Tanna gathered her things and set out into the world. She watched the city slowly shrink from the caravan wagon she sat on.

"Finally I am free to find what I seek in the world!" she thought excitedly to herself as the caravan made its way across the plains.

She found herself traveling from place to place, searching for whatever intrigued her. As she made her way across Camaden, she discoverd the tale of a keep that was never finished and the talk of people going missing. Normally she wouldn't even consider investigating, but the talk of the unfinished keep? Historical landmarks piqued her investgative side. This would be a good time to find out what was going on, and to eventually make a book of historical findings she had in the back of her mind.

This would be most exciting indeed.

Appearance:
Tanna stands at 5'6" at 108lbs. Her hair is the color of iridescent burnt amber. Her eyes are the color of the orchid blossom. She wears an explorers outfit in the varying shades of the orchid blossom. She carries a backback and a dagger on her left hip.

Personality:
Tanna most closely identifies with Irori due to her love of knowledge and history. She is vain, but at the same time does not stand for bullying and will help when she encounters it. She is knowledgeable beyond her years, and is not above settling arguments when people quibble about details they obviously know nothing about.
