About Tamburlaine
I got into fantasy and RP at the age of 12. Catalysts were seeing StarWars and reading Lord of the Rings for the first time. I did okay at highschool, graduated and went to Uni. I ended up with 5 degrees from two Universities (UWA and Warwick, UK). My time at Uni was also spent RPing and getting involved in societies. I was President of the Science Fiction book club and the RP Gaming Society in the mid 80s at UWA. I didn't RP on campus at Warwick but with like-minded people in the West Midlands. I also went to Gencons in the late 90s.
I also once owned every Magic card which had been printed (until the end of 1997).
I've held lots of jobs to support my study habit but the significant ones have been highschool English teacher, University lecturer and Research Analyst. I'm the father of two wonderful sons (currently 9 and 6). This year I've decided to get some of my fiction published (I won two State writing awards and had poetry published when I was in highschool). I'm realistic - it won't be easy. But then I'm an optimist - what have I got to lose?
