About Talon Dunning

The mysterious creature known as Talon Dunning is nothing to fear in and of itself, but his art is a wonder to behold. The work he has created for almost two decades has been seen illuminating the pages of many mysterious tomes of forgotten roleplaying lore, written by such illustrious publishing guilds as White Wolf, Green Ronin, West End Games and Wizards of the Coast and for such arcane titles as Ravenloft, Mage the Awakening, Star Wars The Roleplaying Game, TORG and Mutants & Masterminds. In March 2000 (Desnus 4700 by Golarion reckoning), Talon won runner-up in the Dragon Magazine "Beastly Research" contest with his entry, The Dvati, a race that was later updated in Paizo's very own Dragon Compendium supplement.

Since 2008, Talon has self-published his own Pathfinder-compatible material through DriveThruRPG under the name, "Fantastic Gallery." His personal projects include Children of Wyrms, The Sensitive, and the Pathfinder Compatible Adventure Deck and he has overseen the publication of the adult PFRPG-compatible supplement, Sisters of Rapture by T.Catt. Talon is currently working on a Pathfinder-compatible system for modern-era roleplaying called, The Modern Path 3.0, which he hopes to have ready by late 2018.

Combat: Relatively weak and puny, Talon tries to avoid combat if possible, preferring to use his natural fascinate ability to draw its way out of trouble. To do this, Talon must have his sketchbook or other example of his artistic endeavors available or he must take a full minute to create a new drawing. Anyone viewing the sample or watching it create the art must make a DC 11 Will save or become fascinated for 1d4 rounds after which time they may attempt a new saving throw. Once they make the save, they become immune to Talon's fascinate ability for 24 hours. Talon often uses this ability to mesmerize his favorite subject, the elusive fangirl, at conventions around Varisia (and sometimes the Southeastern United States).
