Tak shrugs, and bids Ushan to defend. He sits down, going stony still and watches the night closely.

Tak simply stares at the orc, not knowing or understanding that any joke was told. "This is a place of graves. Perhaps the city you seek is beneath the ground?"

"This is a place of the dead; why would there be accommodation for the living?" Tak seems resigned, mostly stoic, like the giant lizard he walks beside.

No, I figure he'll just nose at them. T-rexes aren't really made for digging.

Tak stops occasionally to study the Elvish script. His tyrannosaurus companion heads off to nose at graves and sometimes comes back reeking of carrion. "Ushan smells naught but food here. His hunger is endless."

"These are the souls who slew Asmodeus." Tak's dry voice is flat, as he smacks Ushan's nose back as the t-rex leans forward to sniff the dead man, probably with the intention of a snack.

Tak steps through the portal, followed by a young Tyrannosaur marked by an elven symbol painted on its head. He pauses as the planar travel seems to make his insides scramble, then steps forward and calmly vomits at the side of the path.

"I do not enjoy that form of travel."

Seeing the man on the horizon and hearing Lilia's question, he shrugs. He strides forward toward the man, his t-rex at his side. When he is within earshot, he calls out. "Hail stranger. We are travelers come to judge the dead. Can you offer directions?"

Tak nods, then flips over the cube to retrieve Ushan.

"I merely need to retrieve my companion and I am ready to depart. I presume he will be awake now that this meeting is complete?" Tak asks the tribunal.

"I have no need of murder. I merely asked the inevitable question. Death is a fact of our existence, angel. Calm yourself." Tak's eyes betray a cold, reptilian outlook on life.

In a matter of fact tone, Tak says "So, if I slay these others, will my power increase?"

Shenanigans are much more fun when no one sees them coming!

Tak looks somewhat confused. "We inherited something from the Prince of Darkness? As in a gift?"

What am I catching up on?

Tak, hearing the voice, steps toward the edge of the platform and over. He falls for a moment, then finds himself right-side up. "I hear you, voice. I will hear your reading."

The dinosaur-companion stands up. "I hear, but I do not see. Are you the one responsible for calling me here? If so, do you wish battle, for I will destroy you." He says this without any malice, simply as a statement of fact.

Resuming his feet, Tak's first thought was for his companion, the Tyrannosaurus. He checks on him, making appropriate calming hoots deep in his throat. He stares off into the nothingness, feeling, appropriately perhaps, nothing. His cold nature, coupled with the death of a god he cared nothing about, has not been altered by the sudden influx of godhood. If anything, it seems to have heightened his nature, making the cold hard aspect of nature that he embodied even more apparent. He settles back onto his backside, staring at the void and waiting for prey. He had all the time in the world.

Tark, I would like to submit Tak'Vellos, Elven Saurian Shaman Druid and devotee of the Law of the Jungle.

History:

Tak was born in Sargava. His elven parents were arcanists, researching tales of lost civilizations and exotic magic in the Mwangi Expanse. When he was still a young elf, they were killed on an expedition, leaving him alone in the jungle. The young elf ran and hid, and eventually grew skilled at hunting by watching the great Saurians and learning from their example. When he was a juvenile elf, he was found by an old Mwangi woman, a druid, who saw him while she was in the jungle. By coaxing him in with food and respecting his wildness, she was was able to befriend him and began his education in the way of the druid, which continues today. Since then, Tak has left the Mwangi expanse several times to explore the world beyond, each time taking his companion, a young tyrannosaurus he rescued when its mother was killed by a Spinosaurus. He has raised the great beast from birth, calling it Ushan or Hungry One in Mwangi.

Outlook and Personality:

Tak is a survivor and believes strongly in survival of the fittest. However, his jungle upbringing wars with the virtues of compassion that his mentor, Ellaba Doucombo, taught him. He has come to see close companions as members of his 'pack' as it were, and keeping them alive as a natural outgrowth of his wild instincts. He is straightforward and blunt, and cannot understand the virtue of lying, though he clearly understands using distraction and stealth in the hunt. He is tall and thin, lean and strong, with wild hair and deeply tanned skin. He bears some tattoos over his arms of the great Saurians, whom he sees as the spirits of Hunger, Death and Survival.

Tak chose the Hierophant Mythic Path, with cold damage being his Mythic Flaw, due to his near saurian nature. If you have any questions, I'd love to answer them!
