A wash of greens and pinks flickers across the face of this gathlain, as if the light is filtered through a rosebush in bloom. The twisting, thorny branches sprouting from between their shoulder blades vaguely resemble bat wings, and half-glimpsed shadows weave between them in an ever-shifting dance. Their asymmetrical sleeveless silk tunic buttons up on the right side, the sides held together by an eclectic assortment of shells, acorns and coloured pebbles captured in tiny woven nets. The loose, flowy trousers cinch a little below the knee, leaving the left calf bare and the right one encased in a bright red fishnet stocking.
Their hair - if they have any - is hidden under a floppy and formless knitted cap that trails tassels of variable length and colour down their back. Objectively, they should be cute - with their small, upturned nose, large liquid eyes and wide mouth made for laughter - but instead an unsettling air hangs about them like a shroud.
