I have yet to find any circumstance where the Race Builder is any more use than eyeballing anyway.

In most cases the group i play with takes what is laid out in the books as gospel, and finds ways to justify said stance. which is why i'm trying to find something to support my assumptions. even if it's just a consensus of opinion.

Keep in mind, if this is a sentient race, it will likely fall under the Monsterous Humanoid type (ie. Centaur). Or are you talking about something more like a Gorilla that can walk on all fours but can still use the front limbs as hands as well?

Basic description would note that this race would have semi-manipulative fore paws in addition to actual arms with fully functional hands (centaur like). I just figured that this could be demonstrated with racial feats that may or may not be taken as opposed to being built in.

Medium quadruped, I would just look at the medium riding dog and project from there. That gives you a basis to work off of. Clearway there are medium sized quadrupeds, and there are even small ones if you look at the common dog entry on D20pfsrd.

The riding dog looks as if it's using the same basic +4 cmd vs trip that any quadruped benefits from. So it appears that it's just a flat adjustment from having four legs. Thus size shouldn't really be a requirement.

Sorry about the work delay. The race i'm working on is sentient, and has a tauric build (two arms and four legs) Canine based. I am using the monsterous humanoid type. On average they should be human average height wise. which is defeated by the Large prereq, in the Race builder. I was just wondering if there were any actual rules for Medium size quads. and if not some guide line for adjusting the cmd / trip values. which i am assuming comes partly from being multi-legged and partly from intelligence.

According to the information i have available to me. There is no way to make a smaller than large quadruped as a race. I am assuming that a medium, would use small weapons. Just as a large uses medium weapons. i am also assuming that AC modifier would drop to zero. but, i do not have enough data to make a good judgement call on CMD / tripping bonuses. Or are such medium quads just not viable? any information would be helpful.
