M T'skrang Archer

"Tartuk's Flame."

M T'skrang Archer

"We should burn poor Tartuk, but with honor. His family doesn't need to seem him like this. He will be remembered well."

M T'skrang Archer

I'm also uncertain of the proper rites for a victim. I'm inclined to say burn him as well, his family doesn't need to see him like that.

M T'skrang Archer

After helping dig the pit, Sytåz gathers some firewood nearby for the fire.

M T'skrang Archer

Sytåz straps his bow to his back and helps with the digging.

M T'skrang Archer

Sytåz draws another arrow and aims at the fallen troll. He holds his bow ready for quite a few moments before relaxing his grip. He puts the arrow away and visibly relaxes.

"You can never be too careful with sorcerers."

M T'skrang Archer

I'll use my last karma to try and make sure I hit: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Exploding damage die: 1d8 ⇒ 2

Total to hit: 9
Total damage: 11

M T'skrang Archer

A wicked grin shows on Sytåz's face when he sees arrow slip past the troll's armor. He continues to press forward, launching another arrow at his foe.

Dice Rolls:

Init: 1d12 ⇒ 5
To hit: 2d8 ⇒ (6, 2) = 8
Damage: 2d8 ⇒ (1, 8) = 9

M T'skrang Archer

Didn't need the karma. Exploding tohit dice: 2d8 ⇒ (5, 5) = 10

Total to hit: 31

M T'skrang Archer

Sytåz continues to fire arrows from his bow, turning his attention to the sorcerer.

dice rolls:

Init: 1d12 ⇒ 6
To Hit: 2d8 ⇒ (8, 8) = 16
I'm going to use another Karma to hit better: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Damage: 2d8 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3

M T'skrang Archer

Sytåz stands his ground and fires again.

Dice Rolls:

Oops, for some reason I was thinking I could use missile weapon with knives. Clearly I should have been using the bow the entire time. I just changed things up for variety.
Init: 1d12 ⇒ 3
To Hit: 2d8 ⇒ (6, 1) = 7
Damage: 2d8 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3

M T'skrang Archer

Sytåz advances toward the pool (K6) and throws a knife at the creature ("Beauty").

Dice Rolls:

Init: 1d12 ⇒ 5
To Hit: 2d8 ⇒ (2, 5) = 7
Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 3) = 9 Explode: 1d6 ⇒ 6 More Explode: 1d6 ⇒ 2 Total: 17

That's a great damage roll, can I spend karma to make certain I hit, or is it too late for that? Not that I know exactly what I can spend Karma on...

M T'skrang Archer

Sytåz whispers impatiently, "Give me light and I will attack, we need to move quickly."

He edges forward, following the left wall, creating an opening for others to pass.

M T'skrang Archer

Sytåz brazenly heads toward the chanting, his two knives in hand.

M T'skrang Archer

Sytåz straps his bow on his back, draws a pair of knives and heads into the cave.

Dice Rolls:

Init: 1d12 ⇒ 11

there's one left you know? Map is current.

I know, but I didn't want to start shooting into melee (I don't know if the rules care about that or not) and I was confident he'd be taken down so I want to move forward to the cave to see if there are more inside.

M T'skrang Archer

With bow in hand and arrow knocked, Sytåz edges toward the cave mouth.

M T'skrang Archer

With surprising speed, Sytåz launches another arrow at his target.

Die Rolls:

Do we roll initiative every round in this game? If so: 1d12 ⇒ 7
Missile To Hit:2d8 ⇒ (5, 6) = 11
Damage if hit:2d8 ⇒ (8, 3) = 11 Explode:1d8 ⇒ 2 Total: 13

M T'skrang Archer

Sytåz fires his bow, the arrow guided mystically to the glowing mark on his target.

Dice Rolls:

Initiative: 1d12 ⇒ 5
Assuming my Mystic Aim worked: 1d10 + 1d8 ⇒ (8) + (4) = 12
If I hit damage:2d8 ⇒ (7, 7) = 14

M T'skrang Archer

Sytåz crouches down and takes aim with his bow at one of the cadaver men. He focuses intently on his target.

Dice Rolls:

Mystic Aim: 1d12 ⇒ 10

M T'skrang Archer

Sytåz grips his bow and follows the others toward the cave.

M T'skrang Archer

Sytåz follows warily, his bow in hand.

M T'skrang Archer

I'm not a doctor. I don't think I'd touch it. I'm more concerned about finding the others.

M T'skrang Archer

Sytåz kneels close to get a good look at the man. He looks up and nods sadly at Glottal.

"This is Geleem. We must find whoever did this."

M T'skrang Archer

Sytåz accepts a handful of berries from Glottal.

"I am Sytåz, it is a pleasure to meet you Glottal."

He turns to Garrett.

"Let us find the loggers before it becomes much later, lead on."

M T'skrang Archer

Sytåz puts away his carving knife and looks around the forest.

"So where is your friend?"

M T'skrang Archer

That was not nearly as skilled as I would have liked. Ah well.

M T'skrang Archer

Placing his arrow back in his quiver, Sytåz walks over to a nearby tree. He carefully selects a small, straight branch. With a surprisingly deft and delicate touch, he carves the branch into a windling-sized shaft with a wooden arrow head. With feathers from his belt pouch he carefully adds fletching to the end. He finishes by engraving a word in T'skrang along the shaft.

Sytåz walks over to the windling and presents the arrow.

"I am Sytåz of Ishkarat. I name this arrow 'Trust' and present it as a gift to you in memory of our meeting. Do you need my companions to prove their skill or will you accept my oath as a namegiver?"

Fletching 1d12 ⇒ 5 and woodworking 1d12 ⇒ 3

M T'skrang Archer

Sytåz draws an arrow from his quiver.

"This fletching is my work. If you show us your talents I would be happy to make another for you. Otherwise, I may have a use for this one."

M T'skrang Archer

We'll just pretend I've been silently with the group this whole time.

Sytåz steps forward, one hand on the dagger tucked in his belt.

"We are no bandits. Perhaps it was you who frightened away our friends with magic. What brings you to this precise camp in the woods?"

I made a T'skrang Archer.
