Appearance:
Sylvalia is a very cosmopolitan elf, wearing sensible but stylish clothes and maintaining a poised bearing at all times. She wears her hair in a manner that disguises her ears so she is frequently mistaken for a tall human, at least at first glance. She speaks in the refined manner of a Taldane scholar.
Background:
Sylvalia spent her earliest years in Taldor, daughter of an advisor to Lord Kardal Dunsany. Her father, Verehem Tesseril, left suddenly one night, taking very little but some papers and his daughter to Absalom in a journey of which Sylvalia remembers little. In truth, she cares little for the circumstances that brought her to the city at the center of the world, because she loved it from first sight. She was taken by its wonders -- the sights, sounds, people, and yes, the dangers. A bright girl, her father found her a succession of tutors who instructed her in magic, cultures, languages and more. Though she outlived many of her human tutors, she has taken their instructions to heart and behaves as a refined, educated young woman. It has now been almost a century that she has been in Absalom, but she still loves it as the day she arrived. Every time she ventures out, she discovers something new.
