There are a few things I'd like to see in Bestiary 5, and at the top of my list would be the fey. Not the regular fey; the sidhe, the fey nobles. Pixies, dryads, naiads, and gremlins are all fine and good, yet I'm looking for something a little more dangerous, more devious and threatening for higher level players. A lord of the hunt, perhaps? A dark fey lady, perchance a duchess who holds court in the First World, and sends out her hunters for mortal children to serve as servants and courtiers? I'm a fan of the Dresden Files, and Jim Butcher's depiction of the Sidhe as powerful entities tied to nature, nobility, and their own fickle whims is something I'd love to see in Pathfiner. Beyond that, a few more devils wouldn't hurt. The infernal equivalent of a succubi, who acts not to claim the life or soul of a single individual, but acts to taint an entire line to darkness. A brutal, soldier devil who embodies the notion of blindly following orders, and committing atrocity after atrocity in an uncaring manner. An infernal tax collector? Some lawful neutral outsiders would be nice, give lawful neutral spellcasters something to call forth besides inevitables and formians. A chaotic outsider that constantly changes shape, gaining and losing abilities every round would be nice. Finally, maybe a few giants not tied to the environment. Hill, river and ocean giants are all well and good, but something different would be appreciated. Titan-spawn giants with strange abilities that reflect their titanic lineage; multiple limbs, beastial attributes, creatures that are more walking calamity than wandering monster. Cheerio
Out of curiosity, has anyone ever updated/converted Return to the Tomb of Horrors to pathfinder? As for placing the Tomb of Horrors, what about Geb or Osirion? An ancient tomb, recently uncovered, that once housed a rival to Geb or one of the anicent pharaohs, rumored to contain old necromantic projects and ancient treasure.
I have a quick question concerning natural attacks. Do creatures that have more than one natural attack, such as dragons, require a full-round action to use all of them? Or is it only the case if I want to use their secondary natural attacks as well? Does it also a apply if a monster gets multiple of the same attack, such as monster with 6 arms getting 6 slam attacks. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated
I've got a question about how sneak attack and stealth function in combat. Suppose a rogue succeeds in sneaking into a room with a monster present. The rest of the party enter and engage the monster in comabt, all the while the monster remains unaware of the presence of the rogue. If the rogue were to attack with a bow while hidden, would the attack count as a sneak attack? Should the rgoue succeeds on the sealth check following the attack, would each additionally attack constitute as a sneak attack. If the monster is unaware of the rogue, as his embroiled in combat with the rest of the party, is he considered flat-footed in regards to the rogue until he succeeds on his perception check?
I've been reading through the pdf, and it is simply marvelous. The history, the magic, the feel of Zobeck, I'm looking forward to introducing my players o Zobeck and eventually the rest of Midgard. The NPCs detailed within the book are interesting, and the history of the gearforged is of particular interest to me. The only issue I have is that I have yet to find stats for the gearforged. I've read their history, various mentions of their religious proclivity, and read up on the NPC, and yet I cannot find the stats at all.
I've been looking around recently for decent gamer movies to watch. By gamer movies, I mean films about gamers. I've seen Gamers and Gamers:Dorkness RIsing, and I'm wondering whether there are more gamer films out there. If anybody can suggest a good gamer movie, I'd be much ablidged. By the way, I don't consider the movie Mazes and Monsters, starring Tom Hanks to be a gmaer movie. It's a terrible piece of outdated and incorrect propaganda concerning gamers, though I do find to be mildly hilarious for its ridiculous and outlandish views on roleplayers.
Hue-mons? Never heard of the race, have they appeared in previous publications? ;p Truth be told, I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, I am eager to see if there might be any new half-breeds(ideally of the most "exotic" race possible), on the other hand it takes a lot for me to find humans interesting in any fantasy setting(any human character I've played has either had a peculiar bloodline, became an undead horror, grafted various limbs and items to themselves, or were raised in the Cage...berk) |
