Bot Me:
Before battle, Stumpwater will cast Enlarge Person on the strongest melee fighter in the group just before combat is initiated. If no time is available, Stumpwater will attempt to cast it if he feels confident he will complete it without interferance. Otherwise, Stumpwater will cast Bless. In battle, Stumpwater tries to stay out of harms way. If 3 or more enemies are within range, he generally spends a use of Channel Negative Energy (or Positive Energy if fighting undead), Selecting out his allies, and damaging his foes. If two or more allies are bloodied, he will Channel Positive Energy selecting out his foes. If facing a strong Martial style foe, Stumpwater will attempt to strike it with Storm Burst before it engages in melee. His last resort is to attempt to provide flanking, if safe. Out of Combat, Stumpwater tends to keep his eye out for possible danger, and attempts to assist on all Social checks. He is content to let other members of his party search rooms.

Background:
Born Jackson Bishop Whitaker, Stumpwater Jack is lost in a line of residents of Sodden Lands, descended from the second generation of Storm Kindlers to arrive. He lived nearly his entire life in the town of Jula, under the watchfyul eye of Father Heveril. Though he did not follow Heveril's gentle nudging towards the teachings of Erastil, Jack nonetheless is a man of faith. From a young age, Jack learned to both respect and revere the raw power of the storm. Both the bringer and the ender of life and luck, Stumpwater strives to emulate that strength in all aspects of life. As he aged, the teachings of Gozreh became a perfect fit for his philosophy.

A man strong in his convictions, this proved useful when dealing with the various residents of Jula. His larger-than-life vopice could often be heard booming above the ever-present stormwinds, blessing crops and fishing vessels, settling disputes, entreating the weather, but just as often in defense of Jula from various maruaders and those seeking to take advantage of their small size. He grew adept in channeling the wrath of the storm, supporting the defenses of Jula by unleashing the might of Gozreh upon them.

Now refugee of sorts from the Sodden Lands, though he would never view it as such, Stumpwater Jack left the small village of Jula after a chance encounter with the Pathfinder Society. A lifelong adherent to the word of Gozreh, Stumpwater felt that by aiding the Society in its endeavors, he would return wiser and stronger, more able to help his village and those seeking a reprieve from the horrors of the Sodden Lands.

Appearance and Personality:
Stumpwater Jack is a large man, both in statute and girth, having discovered the pleasures of food since leaving the Sodden Lands. His long hair and beard look as if they've never seen blade nor comb. While clean and free of vermin, it appears unceasingly tangled, and has many scrimshawed fishbones, pearls, and strips of white and green cloth woven in. He rarely sees the need to clean the signs of travel from his attire (as it'll end up dirty again in any event), his boots are often muddy and never polished, various twigs often adorn his cloak. Despite all this, he projects an air of bluff stability. Far from looking transient, he seems a man of the earth, confidant and unshakeable.

Having had no formal schooling (indeed, there was very little need for education beyond survival in Jula), Stumpwater tends to be plain of speech. However, since leaving the Sodden Lands, he has attempted to expand his horizons, and this often manifests in oddly out of place eloquence. Stumpwater is stern and blunt, though not cruelly. He is a mediator, and will often go out of his way to avoid offending those he interacts with, and strives to be as fair as possible when caught between two opposing forces. He is forgiving for those who ask it, though those who spurn his kindness swiftly feel his wrath. When the matter at hand is not demanding his attention, he does tend to wax philosophical, and attempt to share life lessons to those he deems in need, though they tend to trail off into mumbles if he feels his subject is not attentive.
