About Stoirm Laird

"I won't be coming home tonight.
My generation will put it right.
We're not just making promises.
That we know we'll never keep.

Too many men, there's too many people,
Making too many problems,
And not much love to go round,
Can't you see this is a land of confusion?

Now, this is the world we live in,
And these are the hands we're given.
Use them and let's start trying,
To make it a place worth fighting for.
This is the world we live in,
And these are the names we're given.
Stand up and let's start showing
Just where our lives are going to."

- Land of Confusion, Genesis

IDENTITY
Secret Identity Alexander Henry Scrymgeour, 12th Earl of Dundee
Height 1.85 m
Weight 90 kg
Handed Right
Financial Resource Level 6

Background:
Alexander Henry Scrymgeour, 12th Earl of Dundee was born on 5 June 1949 to Henry Scrymgeour-Wedderburn, 11th Earl of Dundee, and Patricia Montagu Douglas Scott who is the daughter of Lord Herbert Montagu Douglas Scott who was son of William Montagu Douglas Scott, 6th Duke of Buccleuch. She is also first cousin of Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester, wife of Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, brother of Kings Edward VIII and George VI and uncle of Queen Elizabeth II.

He was educated at Ludgrove School and Eton College before attending the University of St Andrews where he studied agriculture and politics. He was a Page of Honour to Queen Elizabeth II. He has sat in the House of Lords since his father's death in 1983, where he has exercised his privileges on a number of agriculture and environmental standing committees. Lord Dundee is also the Hereditary Royal Standard Bearer of Scotland, Constable of Dundee, and Chief of the Name and Arms of Scrymgeour.

The family seat is Birkhill near Cupar, Fife, while Lord Dundee's Farming Company manages some 2000 acres over the counties of Fife and Angus. He is a member of the New Club, Edinburgh and Whites, in London. While he is very asset rich, his castle and many properties require the vast majority of the wealth to just be maintained.

During puberty, he discovered his connection to the weather. After being kicked out of Ludgrove for unexplained vandalism actually caused by unexplained, local weather phenomenon, his parents revealed what they had done. After World War Two, his parents struggled to conceive. Most of their peers had already had their children, and social pressure increased. Finally, they appealed to Cailleach during the autumnal equinox of 1948 using a ritual his mother had learned from a local wise woman. Neither parent will admit what truly transpired that night, but the result was the pregnancy.

When the era of superheroes first started, Alex held himself back not wanting to get involved; however, he wanted to prepare. Without any real combat powers, he trained in martial arts and in using a shield. He wanted something to get behind if bullets started flying.

Lord Dundee married Siobhan Mary on 19 July 1979, daughter of David Llewellyn of 41 Cleveland Square, London, and Great Somerford, Wiltshire. They have two children and third on the way:
1. Lady Marina Patricia Scrymgeour (born 21 August 1980)
2. Henry David Scrymgeour-Wedderburn, Viscount Dudhope (born 20 June 1982).
3. Lady Flora Hermione Vera Scrymgeour (born 3 November 1985).

His young family lives on the family estate of Birkhill near Cupar, Fife, while Alex commutes to their London townhouse to serve in the House of Lords.

Description:
At 36 years old, Alex is very fit training everyday. He stands a bit over six feet tall and wears his brown hair gentlemanly short. He wears superior, tailored clothes but not bespoke.

As the Stoirm Laird, he wears a winged helmet with a face mask and wields a titanium targe. When he speaks as the Laird, he emphasizes a thick Scottish accent, which public schooling trained him to bury.
