I am new to subscribing to paizo's Dungeon, (having a subscription years ago under TSR,) and I am wondering when I should expect my issue to arrive? I subscribed in such a way as to get the entire Savage Tide in a one year subscription, yet the first issue hasn't arrived. Is there any way to either check and make sure my subscription has started, or see if the issue is on it's way? Or should I be a bit more patient?

Here's the story... #127 was supposed to hit the streets just before Labor Day, September 2nd to be exact. It's now September 10th and the mag has yet to arrive in ATLANTA. In other words, in one of the largest cities in the USA, the magazine has missed it's street date by over a week.

No, I'm not talking about subscriptions, which are subject to many things, including, apparently, rifts in the space-time continuiumn. I'm talking about when the magazine hits the store shelves.

I'm not ticked, just worried. My parties are about to hit EaBK and if they blow through it, I'm in trouble. So, ladies, gents, and others, is this a problem with the distributor, the publisher, or something else?

Part of the reason I'm asking is that I'm DMing a playtest of episode 6 Friday night...

ASEO out

*blink/blink* I was under the impression that there were no playtests being done outside Paizo. In fact, I remember my group asking to be playtesters months ago, because I felt that playtesting would improve an already great idea, and I was told that there were going to be no outside playtesters.

Now, I don't know what to think. As far as I know, my group was the first group to ask, and we were told no. No outside groups. And now there are? I would like to politely ask what's going on, and why I was turned down when apparently others weren't.

Why is the description for the Hungry Gar in the Diamond Lake background so short? Is there something important about this location, or can we safely play around with this restaurant? I'm personally imagining something like Sweeny Todd...

So, what's the story about the missing story?

Yes, I know they're in issue #100 of Dragon. Yes, I have a copy. Yes, I know this probably isn't the correct forum to post this. However, I would like to know if there's any chance of a reprint of the rules before AP2? The reason is that I would like to have an updated rule set, and possibly a real set, since you have mentioned a dragonchess parlor being in the starting city of Diamond Mine, and I think it would make a great hook to bait my players with. It would be great to have something to roleplay around.

Well, Erik, since we can now obviously tell you have a large group, can you give us an idea of how to adjust the modules in AP2 for larger groups? I usually end up playing with 6 people, but 9 or 10 is not unheard of for me. Simple doubling up of the monsters and treasure doesn't necessarily work out, as I found out in AP1.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Years ago, back when D&D was young, modules were king, and they were the cause of many shared experiences... let's face it, most old players went through Tomb Of Horrors, Queen of Spiders, Pharaoh, etc. These ended up being common experiences that most players of that age shared inbetween them.

Now we have the Adventure Path: Shackled City, and I was wondering if anyone thought that the same thing was happening with it. I've run across a couple of groups running it here in Atlanta, and we've been swapping stories. Might this bring the overall community closer together?

Squid

We all know that AP2 is coming soon, and is being written by several talented authors and the staff of Dungeon. However, I was wondering if anyone viewing this website would be interested in creating an Adventure Path of our own?

Basically, the idea is that we'd form a team of DMs and authors. We would all cowrite the series, and then each GM would run the series for their group. Does this sound like a good idea to anyone?

Hi, I'm Squid, I'm in Atlanta, and we're looking to find more D&D Minatures players in the area. We have set up a group that meets every Friday night at 6:30 pm at T&T Hobbies in Venture Mall, located across from Gwinnett Place Mall. Right now our group is small, but we hope to grow so we can start running special events.

If you're interested, please post back and leave a way to contact you, or just show up Friday nights.

Hope to see you there.

Mail, that is... Erik, you said you were looking for posts from the message boards to put in the Prison Mail column. You even mentioned a couple by name. *Cough*ASEO*Cough* So, who do we have to slay/raise to get in the column?

Sarcasm aside, could you give us some idea of what you want to see in a post here, especially ones intended to be published in Prison Mail? And do we need to list where we live if we want that mentioned in the column?

Does anyone have the stats for the Bracer of Wands magic item in issue #291? I can't find my copy of that issue, and one of my player wants to either buy or manufacture one of these for his character.

You mentioned in the Fiendish Morkoth thread that you had a pumped up version of The Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan. Now, I'm assuming that this is a version that you wrote for your home campaign. What I'd like to ask is... is it for 3.5, and is there any chance of getting a copy of it from you?

I have a couple of questions that regard the Entangle spell. Due to the way Entangle operates, would the spell provide cover and/or concealment from ranged attacks to anyone caught inside it? Does it operate in places where there is no plant life? (Does it create the plant life, or does it just animate nearby life?)

Consider the following situation. A party member is suddenly teleported, without warning and submerged, into a pool of liquid that they can't get out of easily. Do they:

1) Immediately hold their breath, and we start using the Con Countdown rules for drowning?

2) Start drowning because they couldn't take a breath... (the 'attack' was by surprise) and so are automatically sent to 1 hp?

3) Get some sort of save to catch their breath before they teleport?

This has come up several times in my campaigns, and I need a definitive answer here... basically, for any time a character is not expecting to drown and is suddenly put in a situation where they will without holding their breath. Please help!

My group and I would like to volunteer to playtest Adventure Path II. Failing that, we'd be willing to playtest pretty much anything that Dungeon would like to send us. Is this a possibility? Is there any reason why it wouldn't be feasable?

Squid

Exactly when does someone get a Reflex save? And, for that matter, when is someone denied one? Do you have to have some sort of cover? If you don't have cover, do you get one?

This question keeps coming up in my campaign, and I just wanted to know if anyone had any thoughts or official rulings on this.
