Born the son of surfs, the son of despair so said his rich uncle, Banrack the "Pious", who was decietful. Paul was born into poverty, actually, so was his father, his mother, and everyone else remembered by his elders. "The Curse of the Lucky" so said his father, Tanrack the "Humble, who would boast. This curse was of the sewers and alley way stink. "Your familiy is higher then others" so said his mother, Ventura the "Loving", who was hated by all. "We are the blessed ones" so said his brother, Tanrack II, who was born of angels, that facade of kindness. "I am Nothing, a rat in the alley way stink" said Paul, born of a family who hated him. Brought in by an uncle, how wicked he was, that deceitful fiend. For his family was slain by the Deathly Lord Raache, Slayer of Innocents, the devil who swore to return. Along with all the other poor in the city of Pezzack, a county in Ustalav. "Nothing is left for me" cried out Paul, for his uncle was cruel, but through lies, tricked dear Paul into servitude. Bound by honor and self-pity and fear, Paul served Banrack for 2 years, as a cobbler, till Banrack disappeared, under mysterious circumstances.
"I am left for dead!" cried out Paul once again, for his familiy was gone, and his brother disowned him. Paul fled the city, in fear that the Deathly Lord Raache, that devil might have returned. But this time, for him.
Now a hermit, living outside the city of Sandpoint, far south in Varisia, but still making regular trips inside, that surviver of genocide, Paul the blessed, blessed with rat blood, that son of surfs, son of despair. Nothing was left for him, he was left for dead. But that lucky man lived, and lived on. A petty thief, a thief was all he was destined to be. Well know in the small village, at least to those who keep their ear to the ground, Paul lives a sad, but somewhat luxurious life outside of this city gates. His house is crafted from many tarps, tents, and other items.
