About Slera Windswept
Slera was born into slavery, her parents had been captured in the wilds and she grew up there. At the age of 15 a great storm buffeted her slave city. The roof of a building adjacent to her slave 'pen' blew over and created an opening for the slaves to escape. Slera was first out the gate, and followed the wind. The wind spoke to her as she ran, led her out and into a nearby forest. She continued to run, determined to never be a slave again all night. As dawn was breaking the wind started to subside, Slera slowed her pace but forced herself to keep moving while the wind was still there.
By midday the wind had almost stopped, by this time Slera was taking about a step a minute and seemed about to fall asleep. She took one last step as the wind stopped, collapsed to the ground as she heard faint Elven shouting. She had stumbled into a Druid groove. The druids had suspected the wind was special, and so when seeing Slera stumble in, feet bloodied, hair shaped by the wind, they knew she was one with nature. They trained her, she lived free roaming the wilds. She progressed remarkably quickly and soon left the groove to give the same gift she had received and free others with the winds help.
