Slavica is a slim woman with a nevertheless ample bosom often kept (tastefully) on display beneath her bodice. She isn't particularly lovely so much as she is striking -- those she meets seem captivated with her forest-green eyes, though they can't for the life of them tell you why. She wears makeup in slightly odd colors that only enhance her otherworldliness: green lips, perhaps, on a given day. Something is always meant to ever-so-slightly stand out, and when she notices your eyes drawn to it, the corners of her mouth crinkle in a knowing smile. Her hair is dark, straight, glossy, and usually falls over at least one eye, giving her an untamed look. Beneath her cloak, she wears deerskin riding leathers that leave relatively little to the imagination. Her flawless skin makes her seem far younger than her some sixty summers, but the graceful curves and delicate points of her ears and her slightly almond eyes hint that her longevity is a lingering gift from her departed Tel-quessir mother. Always either in hand or dangling at her hip from a leather thong is a gnarled white birch wand covered in strange burnt runes.
Slavica was born to an wild elven woman sent to trade with the witches of Rashemen by King Elbereth of Shilmista Forest. During her stay, Slavica's mother was unaccustomed to the strong jhuild (fire wine) served in Rahsemi taverns and woke up one morning after a night of carousing next to an oafish beast of a human man. She slipped quietly away and made the long journey back home, only to realize while doing so that she was with child. The Sy-tel-quessir sent her back to Rashemen with an escort, refusing to allow such a child to be born in their sanctum. Luckily for the unborn child, the local fyrra (equivalent to the mayor of a Rashemi settlement) had a prophetic dream that the child would be a strong witch one day and agreed to raise her as his own. And so Slavica was born under guard and summarily abandoned by her mother and people. Though the fyrra was a kind and influential man, Slavica nevertheless endured a life of hardship and persecution among the somewhat xenophobic Rashemi. Once she was old enough to develop her powers, Slavica was quick to leave to carve her niche in the world.
