I used to think that the world was all golden maidens, robots, and fairy dragons.
But a grim reality has set in.
How can you rescue the maiden that has broken her leg without understanding anatomy to set the bone? How can you repair a robot that has stopped all function and rattles inside when shaken unless you open it up and understand it's inner workings? How can your fairy dragon transform itself into a car without you understanding how the world works to make it so?
I try my hardest to overcome my own fears and prejudices, if you see an ugly old man with his skin ulcerated on the streets do you spend the rest of your day helping him or do you keep walking?
In a roleplaying game it's an easy choice, in real life, it's extremely hard.
