Hey Woodsmoke - yeah am torn as this AP is thematically one of the best, but agree having the group so intrenched in the story (which you have woven majestically) makes it tough(er) for new joins. Do definitely want to continue playing in your game (wether in this AP or the next) - would be interested to hear what everyone else says.

Might be closer to the weekend before i get some breathing space folks - summer shutdown season is upon me here in the North Sea and I've just kicked off our involvement in an 8 well P&A (Plug and Abandonment) campaign that'll see me and my team through to end of Sep. Needless to say work is kicking my hairy arse but I'll get back on it once I clear my feet. Your collective patience is hugely appreciated.
Sensing apprehension in the creature for the first time, Skäne barely registers its foul aura as he presses again, this time using his shield to smash it repeatedly;
With the gap closed Skäne sets about the fell fey with canny spear thrusts;
Grim-faced, the warrior shrugs off the Fae's enchanted aura and presses home once again;
"Illr fey... your andlátstíð is upon you! We are your örlög !"
Thoughts to you both - as Geedra says we're here when you are GM (applies also to you Puka! :)
Skäne blinks as his eyes momentarily cloud, then with furrowed brow and a red sight he roars and moves forward with spear and shield readied...
Skäne eyes the macabre fey with a frown, then steps forward, shield and spear at hand; "Speak not with twisted orðr fey... lest you join your dreyrugr trophies." Hearing Byakko's growl, the burly warrior also smiles; "Let us sate your hungr for battle... for we are your bani ..."
Skäne shoots the effervescent goblin a black look after she disturbs his slumber; "Ach. Speak for yourselves. I was in a dreymaof of mjöðr höllr and fagr company..." The big warrior rises and dons his armour, rubbing the ache from his bones as he readies himself.
Works kicked up a notch here in Bonnie Scotia gang - posting might be spotty at best until end of the week. Please bot Skane as/is necessary Woodsmoke.
Skäne leans on his spear as he catches his breath; "Rest would be good. Mjöðr would be better..." He flashes a hard grin and tips his helm to Krosh.
Agree hombre - take your time, we'll be here as/when your ready.
As the fey blade bites, Skäne grunts in pain and turns his ire toward the backstabber;
As the creatures become visible, Skäne grins mirthlessly then stabs at the foe due south of him;
Skäne hefts his spear and guided by Geedra takes a cursory stab; "Be minn augar Puka!"
Worth a shot no?
Skäne will just continue to shield Geedra (and himself) best he can
Skäne nods at Geedra's plea as he's unable to discern where their foe(s) are. He shoulders his spear and beckons for the goblin to climb up to his embrace; "Komm little Puka. My skold will protect us!"
As Geedra and Byakko are attacked Skäne moves to beside Geedra, shield and spear raised and ready.
The warrior peers into the air around his companions - seeking any signs of their foes;
Skäne nods towards the light through squinted frown; Puka! Know you the nature o' the ljós ? Illt or sannligr ?" The warrior has his shield raised and spear readied...
Skäne heeds Geedra's puka wisdom and slowly begins to back up, whilst keeping himself ready should the beast charge.
Ooft. Never a good time to get the ol' teethy pegs seen to... especially this time of year. Be well GM and hope it gets fixed with minimal bother.

(AP casts Mass Confusion)... I'm there with you all - pretty lost, and not 100% sure on what we're doing and who we're doing it to lol. Honestly WS, like Geedra says you're doing a sterling job chief - reshape the AP and encounters as much as you see fit mate, we'll likely be all the better for it!
Skäne lets Byakko speak, instead holding position with shield and spear held close, lest this Warden's whims be of a violent nature despite her honeyed words...
Skäne grips his shield and spear - jaw set and scarred scowl deepening. He looks to Ungrist with a black stare; "Where has she taken our Skúta ? Tell us Hryggr or face minn ire!"
Skäne too remains uncertain of the words of any, but the gnomes belligerence toward Greala seemed warranted... "Gnótt Jotunnsnakka . How is she known to you?"
Skäne casts a baleful stare at first the quilled wretch, then Greala before settling on Geedra. He grits his teeth and nods to himself; "We bring the Gnótt ... We find this Ungrist and takk his life and hodd .. That should please our Puka!" He points his spear toward Greala; "You have still yet to prove yourself tryggr . You would do well to remember this."
Hey gang - apologies on the delayed posts. Work's been a chore - new systems going live in a week and no-one has been formally trained yet has created angst, topped off by news I'm moving from our bespoke building (and my operations office) to parent company's run down building in an open plan bullpen. Our house move gains momentum ahead of 21st Oct move in date (we get the keys the week before) so lots of change for someone whose not a fan of change lol. Bear with if I'm spent and post rate dips while I get my bearings.

Cheers WS - yeah been a mad few weeks - the scars of which will heal, but it'll be in our own hus, at our own pace. Once I'm ensconced in my new abode I'll have a home office/study (read geek station) - hopefully have more time and inclination and if so will likely take on the quarter mastering duties (did it once before for Shackled City AP here on the boards). You've enough on your plate herding us in the right direction lol.
So after a mad 3 weeks of viewings and reading til we're cross-eyed of house reports... we found some shortlisted options. The best of these was right at the top end of our budget but was lovely... we popped in an offer at the asking price (fully anticipating being kicked back for a higher offer)... and it was accepted!!!!! Whoooot! Pending legal paperwork and financials we shall get the ownership of our new home on October 15th... talk about a whirlwind! Appreciate the patience all.

Cheers WS - appreciate the candour and caring words. We're in this maelstrom of property scouting, viewings... got our mortgage approved though, so now its a waiting game for that property which will be our new home. Still we're mentally and spiritually drained so not much left in the tank for naught much else :( Downside is I'm back at work and returned to the usual sh!tshow that welcomes me from time off. I'm also trying to manage a job remotely in Mozambique, using personnel that have only seen our equipment in training - never actually used at well site. Have a duty of care and we're running a remote support centre with them which means in addition to my usual work need to focus on them... This is literally how I'm feeling at the moment! Hopefully all will be clearer by the weekend, but might not... will rejoin/post when I can - however know Skäne is in good hands :)
Welcome Silas :) et al - apologies for the radio silence - have had a rough time of it of late - long story short we occupy my sister-in-law's farm cottage and have renovated it/improved to a high standard - my wife works in her sisters cattery business adjacent to the premises in lieu of rent. All was well until her sister announced she was suddenly closing the business at end of the year - we were in discussion to potentially buy her cottage and stay on in our home but that relationship has broken down and just last week her sister and mother announced they want us to leave :( So cue a week of house-hunting/morgage arranging and family angst. All this was stirred up by her brother who is visiting from Dubai with his family. We all get on great but he's an opinionated guy who always seems eager to tell folk how to run their lives. His mum and sister listen to him and as such we've been stiffed. I'm not renowned for my suffering of fools so cross words have been exchanged... families eh... We'll be fine, but its been an emotional brutal week for my wife (who feels ostracised by her family who she's selflessly devoted to) and the impending dread of leaving a home we love and have made our own creeping up and derailing us day-to-day. Mentally I've not been at the races at all, but with a week off work now I'm hoping to recharge and re-engage with my gaming. Regardless appreciate the patience and apologies for any discontent caused.

At the mention of a fey or demon Skäne flashes a dark grin, hefting his adamantine hammer; "Daemon or Fae... either will be bresten by minn hamarr." He eyes the direction where their next foe lies, then shakes his head; "Betri you stay here lass. Wait for us to hrjóða ".
Skäne nods at the woman, listening to her tale of woe with keen interest;
"Tell us more of this verðir ... What nature of illr is it?"
Skäne eyes the young woman, then scowls at the bluntness of Geedra; "Aye lass. We're nei fey nor jotunn. I am Skäne, the one with the tiegr is Byakko. The puka is Geedra, and the scary old one is Krosh. You are..?"
Skäne shoots the little goblin a baleful stare, then sighs and attempts to open the chest... "Let me."
