About Sister Darla
Sister Darla's appearance is rather disturbing to most people: She is a gaunt, wiry woman with ghastly gray skin, white eyes with no irises, and no body hair. However, she prominently bears the spiral of Pharasma on her shield and at her neck, and invokes her goddess's name frequently.
Her raspy voice has never lost its distinctly rustic Ustalav accent. She is a dhampir, the cursed spawn of a nosferatu who terrorized her home village before he was slain by Pharasma priests. Those priests took in the freakish orphan, and raised her to be a holy weapon against the undead horrors responsible for her existence.
Darla is a dour, driven woman at the best of times, and struggles with missions that require more finesse and social graces. She is slowly learning that there is more to life than her lifelong crusade.
