Description:
Silas is a quiet, but friendly young man. He is not particularly big, but solid and in excellent shape, with short hair (growing in from shaving his head while at monastery) and prominent tusks, and he has stylized dragon tattoos on his forearms. When travelling, he is usually dressed in simple, common clothes, and appears in all ways unremarkable.
Background:
As a baby, Silas was left on the doorstep of a distant monastery, and the monks there have raised him and trained him in their ways. At this point Silas has reached the point in his life and his training where he has been charged with travelling the world to broaden his experience, expand his knowledge, and refine his training. He has come to Sandpoint to stay awhile with Sabyl, another monk, and the current abbot of the House of Blue Stones. Although Silas prefers not to resort to violence, he does not regret using his skills against the undead horde. He does, however, regret not being able to save his teacher, and even more so, he regrets taking the life of a living man who recently became unhinged and tried to take the lives of some children. Silas has a strong desire to survive and somehow put an end to the plague that has destroyed so much. He credits his meditation and martial arts practice with helping him staying centered, grounded and focused despite a world that has been thrown into chaos.
