First,

"The magic weapon serves as a channel for the wielder's ki, allowing her to use her special ki attacks through the weapon as if they were unarmed attacks. These attacks include the monk's ki strike, quivering palm, and the Stunning Fist feat (including any condition that the monk can apply using this feat)."

Am I suppose to assume that the listed 3 attacks are the only special ki attacks that can be used? What about the special attacks of the monk variants such as Punishing Kick and Elemental Fist. These are clearly special attacks tailored for the monk class yet they have nothing to do with the monks ki pool. On that note quivering palm and stunning fist also have nothing to do with a monks ki. A list of all abilities that can be used through a ki focus weapon would be amazing as the text is very confusing. It seems logical to allow all monk special attacks that require an unarmed strike or unarmed maneuver to be usable through a ki focus weapon.

My other questions are in regards to the Ki Throw feat. For the sake of clarity and argument I will compare its wording to the Stunning Fist feat.

Ki Throw

"Benefit: On a successful unarmed trip attack against a target your size or smaller, you may throw the target prone in any square you threaten rather than its own square. This movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity, and you cannot throw the creature into a space occupied by other creatures.

Special: A monk may gain Ki Throw as a bonus feat at 10th level. A monk with this feat can affect creatures larger than his own size by spending 1 ki point per size category difference."

Stunning Fist

"Benefit: You must declare that you are using this feat before you make your attack roll (thus, a failed attack roll ruins the attempt). Stunning Fist forces a foe damaged by your unarmed attack to make a Fortitude saving throw (DC 10 + 1/2 your character level + your Wis modifier), in addition to dealing damage normally. A defender who fails this saving throw is stunned for 1 round (until just before your next turn). A stunned character drops everything held, can’t take actions, loses any Dexterity bonus to AC, and takes a –2 penalty to AC. You may attempt a stunning attack once per day for every four levels you have attained (but see Special), and no more than once per round. Constructs, oozes, plants, undead, incorporeal creatures, and creatures immune to critical hits cannot be stunned.

Special: A monk receives Stunning Fist as a bonus feat at 1st level, even if he does not meet the prerequisites. A monk may attempt a stunning attack a number of times per day equal to his monk level, plus one more time per day for every four levels he has in classes other than monk."

Since both require you to make your trip/attack unarmed, both have a special interaction with the monk class, and Ki throw actually interacts with a monks Ki where stunning fist and quivering palm do not...it seems logical to allow all monk special attacks that require an unarmed strike or unarmed maneuver to be usable through a ki focus weapon.

Now I take things even further. If a monk can ki throw with a ki focus weapon, can a monk now make use of the extra threat radius provided by a reach trip weapon that has the ki focus quality? For example swinging a kusarigama around the ankle of the target and swinging them to a new location in your threat radius.

I'd love some kind of official rules interpretation but house rules people have been using are welcome also.
