Shayliss Vinder is the younger sister of Katherine Vinder, and the daughter of Karl Vinder. She doesn't spend nearly as much time with Lyssa as her sister does, but she is open and friendly. The younger Vinder girl is in rather the opposite situation from her sister: Shayliss actually does get around, but she has managed to keep word of her trysts completely silenced. She enjoys her activities so much that she has even considered moving to Magnimar to join a brothel, though she expects that would take some of the fun out of it, nevermind giving her father a stroke. She is unaware of her sister's situation with Ben, other than that they occasionally meet at night at the sawmill.

Shayliss is short, like her sister, but more slim and with lighter hair. She has a sweet, innocent face that belies her sensual nature. She is more friendly than her sister, though she respects that Katherine has few friends and doesn't try to take any of Lyssa's time away from her sister.
