Spellblaze As a standard action you can call forth a bolt of pure arcane force energy. You can target any single creature with a range of 25 ft. + 5 ft./2 class levels with this bolt of force as a ranged touch attack. If you hit the foe, the bolt does 1d8 points of damage + 1 point for every two class levels you possess. This damage functions as damage from an evocation [force] spell. You may use this ability a number of times per day equal to 5 + half your class level.
Toppling Spell Spells with the force descriptor grant a free trip check (caster level plus casting stat) on hit/failed save.

Background:
Born and raised in Haratar, Shatai never quite found his place. Most children of the Lasorai were curious, adventurous sorts, but by the time they were old enough to venture forth from the familiar fields and lands around the village they had calmed enough to realize the dangers which lay deeper into the tangle. In fact less than a dozen Lasorai in their short history had left Haratar since it had appeared within the strange realm. It was to these very people that Shatay aspired, but the adults and elders of the village remained tight-lipped to every attempt to pry information about those who had left, pointing out only that they had not returned, inevitably due to an untimely death.
This did not satisfy Shatay, and he spen his long childhood learning every scrap of magic and lore that he could. The rare visitors who stumbled upon the town were treated politely, and subtly encouraged to leave, except when Shatay found out about them; the boy then shadowing the person begging for stories until they would leave. His parents were at a loss with what to do with him, Shatay determined to join the ranks of Farolil and Mulrarn who'd left Haratar and never looked back. As Shatay matured his family began to hold some hope as he began to work for a neighboring family, one with a daughter, Illiel his age; yet though the relationship matured Shatay proved that this maturity was but a stepping stone for him as he used his wages to gather supplies and loosen tongues, until at last he was ready. Despite the pleading of his parents, and Illiel's urgings Shatay bid Haratar farewell, and began his journey into the wilderness of the tangle.
