Sharletta comes from one of Arinolus' realms. Species with hive minds, like the Arachne (Sharletta's race), were not uncommon in this realm. Arinolus wanted to see how such species would interact with individualistic species. It did not go well, with the hive mind and individualistic species often going to war.
Sharletta was one of the hives infiltration experts and so had been given some level of autonomy. She came to enjoy certain aspects of the other races' cultures that had been deemed frivolous by the rest of the hive mind. This was especially the case with food, with Sharletta even learning to cook (all to better blend in of course).
The realm became plagued with havoc storms and the Arachne went to war with the appearing Harbingers. Sharletta had to reveal her true self to the elven race which she was infiltrating. She managed to broker an uneasy truce, explaining that the harbingers were the real enemy of all life.
While they had some initial successes against the Harbingers they eventually became overwhelmed, with the Harbingers reaching the Arachne's primary Queen. During the Queen's death throes, she sensed the coming of Sporaxus. The Queen poured the entirety of the hive's magic into Sharletta making her the new queen and shunting her into a new universe.
In an unfamiliar realm and entirely alone Sharletta simply hid amongst the locals for the first few years. When she discovered worshipers of Arinolus she revealed herself to them and explained what had transpired in her original realm. They explained all they knew of Arinolus and Sporaxus. Sharletta devoted herself to Arinolus, hoping to seek revenge on Sporaxus and his Harbingers
