Deliel, Sharea's mother, was truly a wild one in her youth in every imaginable way. Yet the one man she seriously fell in love with (and there was no shortage of suitors), was the one she could not get. He quite literally fell from the sky - his sky ship had to make a crash landing after a storm caller had exaggerated a little and the ship was damaged in the storm.
It was the most natural thing for Deliel to try her best to help out, and yet, after she went into the forest to look for suitable wood to repair the ship, she found a quite similar untamed heart in him and the two of them were two busy with each other to play any role in repairing the ship at all. The affair lasted in secret and they both enjoyed each other's company as much as playing against the rules and fooling the houe. However, briefly after they decided to actually go further and have a child, the pressure from his family grew and Teleron abandoned Deliel and Deliel was heavily pregnant, had neglected her duties in the past and could not refuse the hush money, which was given to her by. Teleron got married eventually and their affair ultimately ended. The child however, Sharea, was born with the Mark of Storm however. A secret that Deliel carefully hid, for she was afraid for Sharea's life if anyone found out that she was the living evidence for what could not be. Deliel used to act like she did not care, but when Sharea grew up she could see how much it pained her when she grew old enough to understand love. Sharea was born in the forest, but unlike her mother a young woman of people, she preferred the crowds, not the wilderness and dreamed of the big cities. When she was merely 22 years old (which is quite young for a half elf), she left to go for Storm Home and have revenge in her mother's name. She managed to be hired in Storm Home as handmaiden and got into the service of Telerenne, her oldest half sister (who was merely a year younger than her), using little intrigues and natural charm and an unrefined sense for magic. However, her father was on extended travels, no being commander of is own vessel and she did not get to meet him. Though determined to hate Telerenne, the two young women immediatly liked each other and became friends, primarily because Sharea displayed a less submissive attitude towards her than a maid was expected to. Sharea used her skill in manipulating people and her crude magic to help Telerenne and dodge unpleasant duties. Telerenne found out that Sharea was her sister on her own - the two were getting drunk and having fun while they dodged a ball were Telerenne was supposed to meet suitors she absolutely did not like and were making plans on how to get her the suitors she did like, when Sharea did not watch her motions and her hair and the Dragon Mark became apperant. Suddenly completely sober, yet friendly, Telerenne asked: "You are my sister, aren't you?" Sharea confessed the truth, alone, she did not want revenge anymore. She wanted to remain Telerenne's friend and keep the whole affair as it has been for decades, a secret. A slip. She felt guilty because of her mother, but she simply could not throw it in her father's face anymore, and certainly not scheme to destroy his family. Her magical abilities had grown stronger and stronger over the years and she wished to refine them, do something with them. The two sisters went to Sharn, were they would not that easily be recognized and they did not have to play their roles. However, they ran into a trap by kidnappers. The kidnappers did realize that they had caught a young damsel of a dragonmarked house, given their papers. But they confused the two, because of Sharea's dragon mark. The real Telerenne was to be murdered and discarded. Sharea managed to first manifest the full potential of her magic when she realized that her sisters life was at stake. A with a charm spell she confused a bandit and made him bring her to Telerenne, which the bandits were having fun with before they killed her. Her rage hardly knew any bounds and she slashed the throat of the bandit who brought her there open, pushed the others back with a thrust of wind and a magic missile, which gave Telerenne enough time to grab one of their daggers and cut them open. Unfortunately, they were unable to cover the whole story up and so everything got out, including Sharea's identity. Sharea was banned from Storm Home, however, since the affair was all too public now and Telerenne was violently loyal to her, there was no way to silently remove Sharea, as much as Telerenne's mother would have liked that. Sharea settled in in Sharn, found a job at the magic academy and, despite all concerns, proved to be discrete and much less of an embarassment than was feared. She developed her skills, joined expeditions in order to unravel magical secrets and did nothing that was to the disgrace to the house (and when she did no one but Telerenne knew about it). To end the inconvenient status quo, she was granted the permission to call herself d'Lyrandar and officially act on the House's behalf. The two sisters began to spin their own operations, including smuggling and trade of magical periphernalia and secrets between Storm Home and Sharn. It was not really power or money they were after, but the thrill and the wish to be something more than mere pawns in a game the highers played. Every know and then they would help a few refugies while on the outside they remained a model of coy and modest daughters of House Lyrandar. It was not like no one would ever see through it, but they had a good feeling for how far they could go and what would be let slide. With time however Sharea got more and more caught in a daily routine and her official functions became more and more important. Telerenne eventually married a man that Sharea would have severly envied any other woman for and seemed to be happy. She caught herself with the wish to found an own family, but she just wasn't ready for it yet. So she threw herself deeper into the adventure. She would have a family... after she truly made a name for herself and was more than just accepted, but proud member of house d'Lyrandar and her mother along with her. Appearance:
Age: 29 Height: 5' 11" Weight: 140 lbs. Hair: Blonde Eyes: Green Reference Image: http://www.deviantart.com/art/Tattooed-Elf-Girl-coloured-356018930 Sharea is a tall half-elven woman with long, well combed blonde hair. Her figure is average for a half-elf of her height, yet there is no denying that she is an outstanding, deeply sensual beauty and she can make most men of her kind melt with glance, without even trying. However, she surrounds herself with an aura of dignity and can appear at times a bit unapproachable. She prefers to wear long white dresses of simple cuts the are smooth around the hips and prefers to avoid belts. The dresses are usually made of expensive, yet sturdy stuff for she is often enough out on expeditions and excavations. It is not uncommon for her to apply make up with coal sticks in her face and neckline. On her back is the least Mark of Storm, between her shoulders. It is usually hidden by her hair and dress. When in field she carries an elegant and expensive, but very sharp dagger at her hip a well made backpack on her back and a cylinder with scrolls on the other side of her back. That does not stop her from wearing expensive dresses or wearing her hair open and well combed. Personality:
Sharea is fiercly loyal to her friends, but is not easy to make friends with her for she rarely lets anyone to close. She is excessively vain and at times it is difficult for even herself to tell whether she's play acting or just being herself. Usually she is calm acts with dignity, but her rage can be terrible and very impressive on those not prepared for it.
When it comes to men she is a bit of a rolling stone. After she had several affairs in the community she lives and got a repuation of a man eater she is a bit careful. However, she maintains a good relation with most of her ex-boyfriends, knowing full well that it is not them that is the problem, it is she herself. She would never, ever backstab at an ex, even if they do. Despite that any involvement of her in anything even remotely akin to adultery is unheard of. She honours relationships and the truth is: She is not remotely the temptress people make her to be, she is just very good looking and charming and one thing often leads to the other. She has sever reservations regarding the media and avoids the press. After her "coming out" as bastard to the Lyrandar family and storm in the press after that she has avoided ending up in the tabloids. Even though she is not an arcane wizard she is a valued guest in certain circles of the arcane academy and at times mentioned in scientific magazines. It is very important to her to be part of a half-elven community and share stories, song and dance with them. She is not above babysitting her neighbour's kids and generally liked in the half-elven quarter in Sharn. She drops a bit of her unapproachable aura towards children, which is why they particularly like her and she gets along well with their parents. She regularly corresponds with her mother and her half sister and meets both of them when she has the time. |
