Thanks. I hope I didn't turn you off of 3pp stuff. I am a powergamer for sure. I love mechanics and mechanic driven characters. After playing D&D for almost 30 years it can be hard to find a new unique thematic design. A lot are cliche and I can't think of many I haven't played. I lean toward the lead character bravado more often than not. I draw from all classic and modern fantasy and action movies. So mechanics is normally what sparks me to give the character a personality. In this case I enjoyed being the angry guy forced out and shunned by others, but his hope in them and in the clan made him still love them in a way and willing to die for any of them. Was very fun to play.
GM advice: I thought you did a great job of keeping things moving. PbP is very hard as characters seem to drop left and right. I almost wish there was a reporting system that would keep you from joining games if you dropped too many at least for a certain period or something. Give people a reason to be more accountable, but oh well. I know I often grab the attention or take over games. One reason is I tend to post a lot and I try and give the GM a character they can build around. I would say be careful of this as it could turn others off if you provide a single character too much attention. It doesn't bother me as I want everyone to have a chance and I know I will get mine.
Stay away from sandbox games. 99% of the people say alright sanbox I love sandbox type games. Yeah they think they do until it comes time to drive their character or group or game forward. The reason Paizo's AP's are successful is they "Railroad" characters normally the right amount. Some more than others, but they keep things on track and often give players the illusion of choice. I like Sandbox style but even I struggle with it sometimes. I prefer my games to play out like an action movie that I'm along for the ride. A big bad, save the world type of game. My experience is when you rely on the players too much your game will fail as they just stop posting.
I can't think of anything you did that I would call you out on. Great job overall. I look forward to the next game.

Yep I understand. I am sad. Havark was mechanically and personality a fun build. I really enjoyed the dynamic of being seen as so weak among a people that value strength but at the same time with none being able to best him in combat. I look forward to whatever you do next. At least we still have Rednal's games. I have went from 12 games or so down to like 5 now. :( Got to find some new ones.

Ah, I see now. Thanks. Yes after he gave an explanation I/Havark did make the jump to enlisting there aid :)
"I see now. It is I that misunderstood. Forgive me Auvindri. I see you were pointing out the foolishness of such a plan. How would lowly mortals sway these brothers and challenge a god, even if one walks with a gods favor. You can put your fire at ease. I now see you were warning us of such a errand and not suggesting it."
Havark speak, but still lacks the social graces to rebound from such a slight on his own. While his words seem to apologize the way he says them most likely does not.

I'm pretty confused. He pretty directly said he though the brothers would only come fight Boreas if they though it was he that destroys their land. That is why I quoted him/you, right?

You just spoke..."Only in the destruction of their lands, one irrevocable and unmistakable as the work of Boreas, would the brothers then set foot here to battle their brother." So now at the suggesting of making this happen you put us ally of Boreas? I fancy myself a man simple as that. I know not the will of the gods, only what Wotan has blessed me with. Now calm yourself."
Havark makes no real attempt to calm besides stating the above. These are the things he does not excel at nor care too.

Havark follow and is a bit taken back at the accusation from Auvindri.
The frights came from these souls that were once trapped seemed to make sense that they could be corrupt in other ways. Also it would be a well calculated play for Boreas to have other servants infiltrate the ranks of those set free.
Havark stands as the escalation of the situation, he weighs the words of Authun.
"You will answer here. If you have nothing to hide then there is no reason to be defensive."

I honestly don't remember you talking to Asdis and her asking for a tower guard. I assume this was sometime before I went on vacation. You are correct the "posting more" comment was a low blow. We all have reasons why and how often we post. I'm not really and a&* h!@@ I just play one sometimes. :)
If you can convince the guard to give himself up for the good of the clan Havark is fine with it.

Not sure what you are talking about. There has been no direction until now. That's why I asked why we were even seeing the witch.
So when did Tyv set up all this secret ritual and
Sorry you feel that way, but no one has tried to engage Havark. Fana or the children have got the most out of him as well as the Jarl. The same could easily be said of everyone. PBP often leads to players only investing in their characters story. The GM knows how I play by now running this game and being in two other games with me, fortunately we all post daily in those games and we ask each others opinions. You wan't to influence the game post more. It may feel as it's Havark's story because I post daily multiple times if game allows and keep the game moving in a direction. Best I can determine looking back is you had some plan looking for a black sheep or someone no one would miss. If you would have approached Havark one of the prisoners could have been used or he would have been fine even raiding another clan or village and getting someone to sacrifice. Now if you if the person was willing and it was their choice he would not question as it seems best for the clan but he would never sacrifice a clansman against his will unless commanded too by the Jarl
As for the turn it was resolved.
Assuming round 1 started when GM asked for init.
Round 1: Havark stood, summoned blade: Two move actions.
Authun paused ( held action, delayed )
Asdis continued with ritual
Tyv got up and tumbled over in front of door, Two move actions.
Round 2: Havark disarms
So where do we go from here? I have no intention of making you feel like it's my game, it's only the two of us. At this point Havark has no ambition. He seeks to serve. A better situation would have been Asdis explaining what needed to happen. We could have discussed it with the new Jarl and if she wanted to give someone up Havark would not have questioned it.

Player wise I like twist like this, hard decisions, and lines in the sand our characters must make that help shape who they are. Character wise not sure where Tyv's motivation has come from. Having watched over Havark and being close with him he knows if there is one thing about him he is loyal to a fault. He showed that same loyalty to the Jarl and has the same for his clan. When the request was made for the clansman Tyv should have know Havarks stance. Not sure where his stance on wanting the ritual to happen is coming from.
