Shale grew-up on these streets knowing only his mother. She was a good woman but as
washer woman never made enough to feed them both so when he was old enough Shale looked for work but not many people would let a ratty boy work for them and the ones that would were of questionable character. So Shale took to thieving and proved to be good at it and so we find him supporting him self this way when the note comes.

Shale is 5'10" 160 lbs all arms and legs. Dark hair typically gathered into a simple ponytail. Perpetual 5o'clock shadow. Scar on his forehead. Green eyes. Likes to slouch and frequently wears his hood up even when it's hot.
