Grand Lodge 2/5

I am no longer allowed to summon a dolphin to help a swimmer without checking my altitude.

Spoiler:
The dolphin got knocked unconscious on impact and drowned.

Grand Lodge 2/5

Well, aren't you Mr. Nosy? Fine, I'll answer your questions, but you'll owe me one.

Quote:
1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

Simple. It looked like the fastest way of getting what I'm after. More on that later. Sure, doin' good and findin' knowledge are fine goals, and I'm happy to do those when they come up, but I've got my own problems.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

So you're askin' me how I got my name? Well, this wizard who was tryin' to help solve my problem started calling me that. He seemed to think it was funny for some reason. The idiot never got around to givin' me a surname, what with his leavin' in a hurry after I destroyed his spellbook, and I've never really had a need to get myself one.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

I can't rightly say. This is where we get to the problem I mentioned: I don't know where I'm from. I was found at the edge of the Mana Wastes, with no memories and only speakin' Celestial. I lived in Alkenstar for a few years while a few doctors and wizards looked at my "interesting case," but I realized they were gettin' nowhere and joined the Society to starting fixin' my own problem. As for influence, nobody's ever surprised to hear I'm from Alkenstar, so take that however you want.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

See the purple hair? That's its natural color, and it's why the wizards all figured I was altered by some, whatchacall, primal magic release or something. I tend to keep it covered with a wig when I'm on a mission or out in public. It's the only outward sign I'm not normal, although I can feel other things are wrong, like that I used to be taller. As for clothes, my adventurin' gear is usually a simple blouse and a long ridin' skirt with boots. Don't need much changin' things around dependin' on where I'm headed, except colors. I just got myself a new breastplate that's a lot less restrictive than the old one, and for the next formal occasion I've got a very nice gown that...well, you'll just have to hope you go to the same party to find out.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

Hate to break it to you, but treasure and power is exactly what I'm after. Nobody's been able to reverse whatever happened to me, or fix my memory, not even here in Absalom. I'm with the Pathfinder Society because I figure that I'll eventually come across an artifact that will fix things, or that my own magic will grow powerful enough to do what the magic of others' can't. In the meantime, I enjoy a good hike, and I enjoy being able to get most people to do what I want if I take a little effort to play nice. Bein' able to throw primal magic blasts is pretty neat, too.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Let me think for a minute...undead, goblins, sewers, cold places, hot places, fairies, imps, spiders, evil clerics, idiot wizards who are more interested in their patients than their patients' problems, Pathfinders who expect me to heal them, Pathfinders who won't stop talkin', Pathfinders who don't know what "subtlety" means, and missions that involve any of the above. Oh, and Pathfinders that ask a lot of personal questions. I did mention you owe me a favor for this, right?

Quote:
7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

I'm not really lookin' to stay here long-term. There's a few people I end up spendin' a lot of time with between missions, swappin' tales and intel. There's also a ranger who's been assigned on several of the same missions I get recently who's not bad in a fight. Doesn't really keep his eyes where they belong, though.

Quote:
8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

Well, since I can't be entirely sure I used to be human before I lost my memory, I don't think I can answer that one. I'm human enough, I reckon.

Quote:
9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

Well, I sometimes worry that there's something important in my past I can't remember any more, but nothin' I can do about that until I fix it. Not much else scares me, although there's a lot I find mighty irritatin' to deal with, like I mentioned earlier.

Quote:
10. What is your most treasured possession?

Well, there's my dog. I don't take him on missions, but he was with me when I was found in the Wastes. After what happened to me, I wonder if he was somethin' or somebody else too. Acts like a normal dog, and nobody's seen anythin' to say he's anythin' else.

Hey, that's enough! Don't know how you managed to get that much outta me, but it'll take more than a couple of drinks to make up for it. And keep it under your hat, or you'll be regrettin' it.
