About Ezekial Holton

Backgrond:

Born into a family of worshipers of Iomedae, Ezekial has only ever wanted to serve as a warrior under the banner of the Great Paladin. His youth was filled with training and duty and the basking in the light of his goddess. His desire was to fight wars in the World Wound where he would wear his faith as his armor and smite the demons of the abyss. It was with some reservation that he accepted orders for his first assignment to serve as an honor guard to some distant scholar in Ustalav. Professor Lorrimor had in his keeping artifacts of the Lady herself. Ezekial did not understand what the scholar had done to deserve to hold such relics, but it was not his place to question. So he went, guarding the relics more than the man. But over time learned to respect the good professor. Lorrimor was no warrior but he had a different kind of bravery. In fact he taught Ezekial may things; specifically he taught the young knight the value of knowing your enemy. Over time, and with the guidance of Professor Lorrimor, Ezekial was able to command an understanding of undead anatomy at a level that he could take advantage of his knowledge on a field of battle.

Ezekial completed this assignment and returned home to his next assignment, realizing that he owed the learned man a debt. So when the news came that Professor Lorrimor had died and that he was called upon to serve as a pall bearer Ezekial requested time to go back to Ustalav to both attend the funeral and to look into the mystery of the death.

Appearance:

A handsome youth, Ezekial stands 5 foot 10 inches tall. His red black hair is cropped short to better fit his helm and his eye shine ice blue. He keeps his armor clean, polishing it as part of his morning ritual. His cloak is of royal blue and his holy symbol of Iomedae is emblazoned on both tabard and shield.

Campaign Trait:

Subject of Study:
Professor Lorrimor approached you as part of his studies, as he had heard that you had survived a
recent encounter with a strange monster or had another fateful encounter. Interested in the conditions of the runin
and the means by which you avoided death or injury, he met with you and maintained frequent correspondence
until several months ago. The scars of your experience and his continual reminders of the encounter prompted
you to hone your skills lest you someday face the same type of creature again. The professor assisted you in this
endeavor, providing you with insight into the anatomy and defenses of the creature that attacked you.

Years of study have improved your combat effectiveness against your chosen foe. Choose a non-humanoid creature
type (and subtype if outsider). You gain a +1 bonus on damage rolls against creatures of this type. See the
ranger favored enemy suggestions for a list of creature types most likely to appear in this campaign.
