As most hivers from Volg, Solvitus is thin , dark skinned, and lacks personal hygiene. As he is no longer bound by the standards of the Guard, he wears a scruffy beard and favors Lho-Sticks, which he smokes constantly. Solvitus still bears the explosive collar of the penal legionaires, but he wears it with pride and uses it as a means to help intimidate those who fear death.
Backstory:
Being born on Volg, Solvitus had to do what he had to do to survive. This includes a life of crime. In his criminal life he was known as SlimGrim, a name he earned by doing jobs most wouldn't including hiding in the pre-recycled filth to complete a job, be it robbery or murder. He was caught when he was still a young man, his exact age is unknown as birthdays are not celebrated in his hive. He was given a choice to serve or die. He chose to serve. Solvitus was soon sent to Morwen VI to train in a special penal legionnaire detachment of the Brontian Longknives. During an Inquisitional inspection, Sgt. Solvitus was asked certain questions about his past life. Seeing he had nothing left to loose he answered truthfully. The Inquisitor seemed intrigued and refreshed by his boldness. He was soon transferred to work with Taalik Amun.
