I have to drop out to focus on the games that I run. Sorry, everyone.
What's my current position on the map? Sorry.
Sevegny moves ten feet forward, following Janos.
Init 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Perception 1d20 ⇒ 4
With her spear in her left hand, she clutches onto her holy symbol in her right.
"Oh Lady of Fortune, we may need your direct intercession soon," she mutters.
I won't be able to post until tomorrow, sorry.
"Who among you is Yargos? Why did these insects try to kill you?" demands Sevegny. There is no kindness in her words, no outward compassion for the victims, for priests of Calistria are above that sort of nonsense.
Strength check assist 1d20 ⇒ 6
Sevegny tries to bring her spear up and swipe viciously at his face.
Attack 1d20 ⇒ 14
Damage 1d6 ⇒ 6
With a wave of her hand Sevegny creates an exact image of herself next to her. The twins then raise their spears against the charging foe.
OOC:
Move action : I use the copycat domain power (which is a mirror image spell with limits.)
Copy Cat
Mirror Image
Attack /w spear: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Things always slow down over the weekends, on every PBP forum I've been on.
I'd better amend my actions then. DM, instead of firing, I'll pass this round.
Seeing with thug with the crossbow, she decides to reply to his bolts with her sling.
OOC:
Fire at T4 with sling
Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Damage 1d4 ⇒ 4
I'll also use my Dodge feat against attacks from T4
Seeing the imminent peril before them, Sevegny points at the central thug amidst the prisoners the and intones "flee!"
OOC:
Init 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Move: 1 square SW
Action : Cast Command on T5 to "flee".
OOC:
Perception 1d20 ⇒ 3
Sense Motive 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Sevegny stands around as cluelessly as a potted plant :)
Sevegny beholds the forlorn place and utters a prayer to Calistria, who is no goddess of charity or justice. But vagaries of chance and luck has a fairness of it's own, and the priestess hopes those within will all come to know good fortune one day.
Nyria the Sandsworn wrote: Nyria tosses one of the books onto the bed with a sigh.
"None of this appears to have any bearing on where our mystery contact has disappeared to," she says, "Perhaps we'll have better luck at the... Soggy Piper, was it?"
"Oh, this place is so depressing, one can hardly blame Yargos for not staying home. Let's go visit this Soggy Piper."
Eric Swanson wrote: JZ, I uhh don't want to be a pain, but *puts on legal hat* your char is not a PFS char.
*takes off hat*
No problem at all. I've edited the profile to indicate faction.
"Then let us be gone," says the flame-haired Calistrian priestess. "If the hooded things turn out to be undead, my goddess' power will be more than enough to protect us."
I won't be able to post for a while, maybe 9 hours. Sorry.
OK, Sevegny is now tweaked to abide by PFS rules. The changes include starting gold and the requirement that she be given a faction trait.
w0nkothesane wrote: Just went over the characters one last time, JZ, if you could, re-post your character as a Pathfinder Society character. You'll need to sooner or later, so it may as well be now. Do you have a Faction selected yet for Sevegny? I'll be giving out faction-specific missions to each of you at the beginning, so it's important to pick one as soon as possible. Working on it now. I'll go with the Andoran faction.
JZ here. Yup, Sevegny is my cleric.
JZ here. I'd like to play my cleric of Calistria.
Just give the game a bump when things are better, and we'll all come running back. Thanks for a great game so far, DM Ember :)
"I would advise mercy," intones the cleric. "But the sword, too, would be no less than what these creatures deserve."
Delaying again, spontaneous casting if someone gets hit.
I'll delay this round, to cast a healing spell or power when necessary. If no one gets hurt, I'll pass this round.
I'll pass this round. I think some of us still has their Bit of Luck unused, right?
Init 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Sevegny summons one of her divine powers, creating a life-like illusion of herself standing next to her.
I use the Copycat power
Sevegny looks upon the small treasure in amazement.
"What luck! This is truly Calistria's work."
She murmurs a quick prayer of thanks to her goddess.
Perception 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Sorry for the super-brief post. A bit swamped at the moment.
"Alright then, with one and two corresponding with the leftmost passage from where we came from, and so on ..."
1d6 ⇒ 5
"The rightmost path, then."
Sevegny holds up a six-sided die.
"Then may I ask my deity for guidance?"
I don't have dice in my inventory. If the DM may give me some latitude in this, because my PC is a priestess of luck, she might well be carrying around as set of dice.
Marcellus, you can re-roll your perception check under my Bit of Luck power, if you want.
"Don't panic, I think I can help."
The priestess murmurs a prayer and taps the shoulder of everyone but Morosino.
"Thanks to my goddess Calistria, the very next thing you do will be especially lucky. So if you search for some way out, she will favor the outcome."
I use the Bit of Luck domain power. The effect as follows: "you can touch a willing creature as a standard action, giving it a bit of luck. For the next round, any time the target rolls a d20, he may roll twice and take the more favorable result. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier."
I cast this on everybody except myself, as well as Janiven, which should be six people.
Concerned for Marcellus' wounds and the even greater injuries suffered by Ankara, Sevegny closes her eyes and radiates healing energy.
Channel Energy, healing: 1d6=3
Sevegny is surprised at her complete failure to turn the skeletal warriors. She then decides to try a more forceful approach.
Standard: Channel Energy (DC 13) for 1d6=5 points
Upon hearing Ankara's explanation, Sevegny shrugs. "He does have a point there, Lady Janiven ..."
Sevegny briefly considers using magic to fool the knights, but thinks better of it. The more elaborate the deception, the more likely it will fail. Hitching up her dress, she dashes behind the bar and scrambles down the trapdoor.
DM Ember, while Sevegny was a consort for a nobleman, did she ever get to see a female member of the house of Thrune up close? I'm thinking of casting Disguise to look like a Thrune matron and ordering the Hellknights away (with a Bluff check.) Of course, if I screw up I could get myself and everyone else killed. So, any of you guys object to this plan?
Sevegny tries to remain calm but cannot stop her hands from shaking.
"I favor deception over confrontation. I agree with Malcolm that we are already well disguised as a private gathering of friends."
Should we fight or try to talk our way out of this?
Sevegny listens to Janiven and Marcellus with great intent. By the time the paladin finishes his oath, her eyes are red with tears.
"My goddess Calistria wants all creatures to live proud and free. I sense that she wants me to join this quest, to rid Westcrown of the forces of oppression. To this end I'll do anything you ask me to, Lady Janiven."
Marcellius wrote: The armored gentleman lifts up his plate and offers the untouched pieces of meat to Sovegny. "Perhaps a lady of grace and beauty would be willing to indulge?" Without saying a word of thanks, Sevegny takes the food and eats.
Sevegny rolls up her sleeves and joins in the repast.
"Mmm. Delicious! My compliments to the chef."
"You too? Those demon-spawned bastards have been abusing the elvish community as well. I've been trying to organize them to resist, with little success. They've lived under the Chelish boot heel for so long..."
She shakes her head mournfully.
"I'll pass," says the priestess simply. Even though the hostess sipped the ale, Sevegny still feels extremely suspicious.
"Well met, Janiven. No, it was no trouble at all finding this place. It's not every day one get's invited to a plot to overthrow a kingdom."
"Well met, Patrum. Did something unfortunate happen to your friends?"
"All luxuries? Even pleasures of the most natural sort?" Sevegny asks teasingly.
