One and only bump i will do on this..

thanks for any help folks can toss my way

The Exchange

So the wife finally decided to give Pathfinder a try. However, we are currently about 6 games into a huge Ptolus/ Iron Kingdoms campaign I am running. (I merged the Iron Kingdoms Tech with the Ptolus city)

Everyone is cool with adapting Characters to Pathfinder, and the Societies, but I haven't even had a chance to start the actual Ptolus city conversions. And I haven't even pondered the Iron Kingdoms conversion for 'Jacks and Firearms)

It looks like 75% of it will be cake, just NPC's and shops and item pricing, but the other portions might be tricky.

So I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me.

How was the Mobi-Con ? Live in Mobile as well but have never went to one. Looked at the guests and only really knew of one person.

My wife and I are from Chicago, moved here in Time for Ivan (whats that? 7 years ago now?). I kept looking at the listing for Mobi-Con and just never went until now.

It was very small, but was a butt-ton of fun. I talked with Larry Elmore for a good solid 45-60 minutes, and we actually talked, it wasn't a typical Con conversation with someone.

I am upset we only went on Friday, but the wife is already talking about going next year for the 3 days

Yesterday my wife and I went to Mobi-Con, in Mobile Alabama, on a whim.

I have been running a Ptolus campaign for years for her, but Pathfinder caught her eye. Generally she is 100% any game that is not 3.0 or 3.5, but there were some "Pathfinders" there and we ended up joining and playing in two organized games.

Now she loves the system. We bought the Core Rule book on the spot, and two new sets of dice for her, and then spent the next 10 hours playing.

Now here is where the problem comes in. She loves Books, while I love PDF's. I was going to purchase the PDF this morning for use on my laptop at game in a few hours, but was told that the Bookmarks and everything are broke in the current PDF. The fella that told me this was told by another person that they were wrong, and then an argument broke out......

Who is right? I don't want to waste 10$ on a PDF that isn't usable

Question on the class has a d6 hit die. Is that how it is supposed to be? The way pathfinder was that your hit die is bases on the attack progression, with the exception of the barbarian. The aristocrat has a d8, but the PC noble has a d6. That just does not seem right.

If so would you mind explaining the reasoning.

Other than that it is a unique interesting class. Possibly a little weaker than other pathfinder classes (Not so much if it had a higher hit die :) )

Bump.

Sorry for the lateness of this reply, I actually didn't know folks reviewed this. Real Life and work being what they are.

This was my first published D20 class. So if it seems rough or unbalanced at first, this would be why.
My reasoning for the D6 instead of D8, is because A) this class brings far more to the table than an Aristocrat NPC Class, B) A balance had to be struck between making this a more skilled Fighter, Harder hitting Rogue/ Bard.

I tried to keep an eye on the Role Play aspect for this class, as I feel often times that aspect of the game is overshadowed by "How hard do I hit", and Feats that only really tie in with Combat challenges.

Since this was published, I have had three players in local games play it (beyond my groups playtesting), and at the lower levels the class does somewhat suffer for lack of HP, however in the higher levels its stacking abilities pay off well for any party.

I do appreciate the feedback, as a very junior writer I want to hear what folks thin and say so I can better direct my efforts to what the community will enjoy.

Nevermind

Is it possible to seperate out one piece from an order? If so please send this order now and I will get No Quarter #8 once it arrives at your warehouse with my next order.

I totally appreciate the reply, like i said I was just whining.

Its is good to know though, so Paizo/ Pathfinder stuff will ship far more quickly from you guys, which I dig. I just need to get my wife to realize now that Pathfinder is a better rules set than what we are currently using.

This is more of a "Whine" post than anything else. So Feel free to ignore it.

June 3rd I ordered a ton of Iron Kingdoms books and 8 back issues of No Quarter Magazine, order still pending, Its been five days, the email said it might be 8, I just was curious if I screwed myself by ordering so much at one shot or was it the fact that it was Privateer Press books and they are hard to come by now?

I know some stuff is harder to come by than others, so basically I am looking for info on how to start lumping my orders for the future. If one companies stuff is always harder than others, I would change my habits.
