History

Spoiler:
Seljak was a farmer long before the army passed by his poor village and conscripted all the males of fighting age, which included the young and elderly as well. Seljak's wife and children were left behind, and he has not lain eyes on them in nearly 25 years, if they still live. While they were mourned at first, Seljak has now taken to his mercenary lifestyle. Where others have died, he has persevered. The hard, lean years on the farm hardened his body, and the grim years of killing have hardened his soul. Tough and resilient, he has proven himself as a veteran of many battles. Now he carries the standard for his company, serving as a rallying point (even though he tends to charge ahead - another good trait if you want your men to seize the day rather than hold the line). In his off-duty hours he is raucous and unruly.
