Background:
Seann Eoghan was born in the land of Geoff several years before the Orc Wars of 584 CY. When the orc hordes came like a plague upon the land, burning and pillaging. Seeing the hordes of orcs, the boy ran. Eight-year-old Seann was the only one to escape his village. Since then, Seann has traveled south, trying to prove his courage to himself. After spending several years with the Olman tribes, he has gone in search of legends of a strange and eldritch island far to the south.
Appearance & Personality:
Standing well over six feet tall, Seann has fiery red hair, blue eyes, and is quite well muscled (he also had a beard until it was singed off in a fight in the sewers of Sasserine). The entire surface of his skin is crisscrossed by tattoos, which serve as his spellbook. As he learns spells, he scribes them into his own skin with blue dye as a test of his resistance to pain. Interestingly, a set of matching tattoos below each eye appeared during an expedition to the Vanderboren vaults. Seann isn't entirely sure how the glowing, golden lettering got there, but due to them, he has gained the ability to cast several additional spells, so he isn't complaining. Though he is a student of the arcane arts, he is a fierce melee combatant, and is always testing the limits of his endurance. Seann chooses not to summon a familiar because "it's just one more thing to carry." Generally, Seann wears a blue-and-green tartan kilt, oddly incongruous next to his turquoise-studded belt and jade ear gauges. He speaks in an oddly high, piercing, erudite brogue, more like that of a university professor than a tribal mage.
Seann is generally boisterous and upbeat in public, but has occasional bouts of depression brought on by a serious inferiority complex. After a serious lapse of judgement in the sewers of Sasserine (in which he accidentally nearly killed one of his best friends), Seann's confidence has dropped significantly, and he has begun to wonder whether he is the right man for the job task to him by Lavinia. Seann jumps at opportunities to make money, learn new things, meet new people, or travel to exotic lands. A heavy drinker, Seann can usually be found in the largest, loudest tavern in town, sipping a large tankard of his preferred drink, ale-and-absinthe.
