Apparently some people get well into their adulthood being unfamiliar with the custom of tipping. Do you have any experience with this, either on the giving or receiving end?

N.B. Not particularly interested in hearing from people who live in countries where tipping is not customary, I'm in the U.S.

If you have ASD and are employed - how did you get your job? Any tips for other people with ASD trying to find employment?

Looking for a means of magical item creation (I'm thinking a site or item located in the dungeon, like a "magic forge") that will allow the PCs access to level-appropriate magic items (as the game intends), with some customization (because I think it's fun), but still allows me to control access (by, e.g., use of rare components or limited resources, in a way that open access to magic shops doesn't).

Looking to remove the item creation feats (feat tax, really) and instead provide a way for everybody to have access, but in a semi-controlled environment.

I am also open to a random component, like in Diablo 2 where you craft an item with random stats, or the old potion miscibility tables.

Any suggestions?

Just finished watching this the other day & Numeria book / AP coming out soon has got me thinking about it a lot.

So I am starting a thread for everyone to gush about how awesome that show was. What's your opinion - was it just plain awesome, or was it mega-super awesome?

Haters and naysayers start your own thread, please. I am only interested in hearing from people who agree with me.

If you roll dice for character creation (rather than point buy, standard array, etc) - do you roll 4d6, drop lowest, and assign stats at will (that's what I consider the "usual" method), or do you have your own system? What are the advantages of your system over the usual one?

So this kept coming up in another thread but I never got a good answer and it was slightly off-topic anyway. Many many people say that they would disallow stats to be dumped down to 7 under a point-buy system. If you're one of those people - why? What's so bad about dumping to 7 vs dumping to 8? I await your reply.

Simpsons Tapped out forum

This post is disparaging other players for "house farming" - that is, building lots of identical houses to maximize cash payouts on a regular schedule. i.e., optimizing.

I just thought this might be a fun data point to refer to next time one of those oh-so-insightful threads pops up...You know the ones I mean

If I'm enjoying your painting / song / whatever, should I leave a comment "I liked it! +1" or would you rather only hear from people who have something substantive to say?

How important is it for you to hear feedback from people who enjoyed (or even didn't enjoy, but at least noticed) your work?

Hi all. Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm doing some preliminary planning for a campaign set in an area that is mostly jungles and mangrove swamps.

a) Will this unduly disadvantage mounted characters (I'm thinking especially cavalier but also paladin and ranger)?

If so:

b) What accommodations could I make for these characters?

c) What are the best options for mounts in such terrain?

Thanks all for your help!
